BBTB2 Challenge Partnering With Double Trouble

WELCOME and Let the Troubles Begin...

"A Die-lirious Holiday Season
(December 7th, 2020 to January 3rd, 2021)

BBTB2 is partnering with Double Trouble for this final challenge of 2020.  BBTB2 has loosened their typical rule (use a Cricut) to be able to use ANY DIE-CUT.  You can still create ANY type of project as long as it is following the challenge details. Click over to either of the challenge sites for the challenge, twist and double dare details.
For this challenge, I’m entering this on the Double Trouble site as a Trouble Maker!

Please make a note of the Challenge dates. This challenge begins on Monday, December 7, 2020 and ends on Sunday evening, January 3, 2021.

The Video:

My project:
I used a snowflake image from Cricut Access to make this snowflake "bow". Before I cut these out, I attached score lines to the center of each snowflake (score lines can be found in "shapes"). I used white cardstock that was prettied up with my gelli plate.

I tried really hard to get a good picture, but this one was a tough one. Check out the video to see the process but basically, I cut four snowflakes out of white cardstock. Then to pretty them up, I used my gelli plate to add color. Once I was happy with that, I splattered some sparkle Color Shine as well as white acrylic paint (that is watered down).

Once the snowflakes were dry, fold them at the score line & adhere them together on the left sides. I used a liquid glue from Nuvo for this step and a glue dot to adhere it to the package.

I love how this turned out! And with the twinkling of the Christmas tree lights against the sparkle...WOW! I wish you could see this in person.

Don't forget to add your project to both challenge sites before the deadline. There are extra prizes for different types of projects.

Products:
Gelli Plate
Acrylic Paints: Bright Blue, Key West, White
Silver Metallic Ink
Sparkle Color Shine (Fun Stampers Journey)
Liquid Glue; Nuvo
White Acrylic Waterdowned Paint in a spray (homemade)

  8. Beautiful, Dorlene! Thank you for taking the time to explain your technique - very clever. A friend once showed me how to use a gelli plate but I have never done anything with it on my own. Thank you for the inspiration and thank you for playing along with us at Double Trouble #73.
