Holiday Card with Quick Quotes

I know it’s late, but I’m sharing a holiday card I made using the Holly Jolly paper collection from Quick Quotes. This is an easy card with paper, PowderPuff Chalk Inks some lace & twine.

The first thing I did was cut down a piece of patterned paper from the Holly Jolly collection and inked the edges with Kokomo PowderPuff Chalk Ink.
I added some Cactus PowderPuff Chalk Ink on this piece of white lace.
I attached the colored lace, twine and a 1/2” piece of paper to the bottom of the base paper to create  some interest to the bottom of the piece.
I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of cardstock using Kokomo PowderPuff Chalk ink and inked around the edges. This was attached using 3D foam tape. I tied a double bow with the same twine and attached that to the center.

Quick Quotes Products Used:
Holly Jolly Patterned Paper
PowderPuff Chalk Ink in Kokomo and Cactus.

Other Products Used:
Twine from Fun Stampers Journey
Lace from my stash
Sentiment Stamp from Fun Stampers Journey
Cardstock card base

Paper Pad Party Page 3

This Recording December challenge by RTS Scrapbooking was a lot of fun to do. I took at least one photo a day in the month of December for this faux December Daily challenge. Be sure to click back at my past two posts for pages 1 & 2.

Here’s the left side of the second two page layout. Remember, the challenge is to use your paper pad for embellishments and the basic page.

Here are some close ups:

Paper Pad Party Page 2

Here’s the right side of the double page layout of the Oh Yes, December (faux December Daily) project. It’s been a lot of fun taking at least one photo a day in December. I really didn’t think I had much going on every year since my kids are grown, but wowzers...most days I’m having a hard time taking only one photo!

Here’s the layout and some close ups!

If you recall from my previous Paper Pad Party post, I am following along with the December series that Janet from RTS Scrapbooking (YouTube) is hosting.

Here’s the post for the left side of this 2-page layout HERE

12 Days of Christmas 2018; Day 12

Last day of my 12 Days of Christmas Tags series! I hope you enjoyed seeing the daily tags as much as I did making them.

I forgot all about this cute owl stamp and happened upon it this morning. I stamped them on these pre-made tags from my stash.
I decided to watercolor the owls and used Color Silk in gold and cranberry for the splashes on the side. I also used a clear Wink of Stella pen, white and black markers to add some interest and outline on the tags.

I added some red velvet ribbon to the tops to finish them off.

Don’t forget about the GIVEAWAY! Leave a comment here and on any or all of the previous tag posts. Each comment is one entry in the giveaway. I’ll pull a winner before the end of the week.

Good luck!

12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day 11

Happy Saturday and Happy 12 days of Christmas. Today is Day 11 and I’m almost done with the series. My daughter and I went shopping today and I purchased this cool punch for only $3.99!
I’ve seen this banner punch before and it was a lot more than $4 bucks! What a bargain! I used this punch for today’s tag. As I’ve been doing the entire series, I pulled out some scraps to cut out the tags, tag bases and of course these banners. I love how colorful these are!

Don’t forget to leave a comment on this post and the past ten for your chance to win my 12 Days of Christmas Tags series set of tags. For each comment, you’ll get one entry into the drawing. I’ll select one random person to win a set of one each of the 12 tags in this series.

Good luck!

12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day 10 & TGIF #72

TGIF; Thankful Friday #72. This week I'm thankful for all the charity organizations that are coming along picking up donations. I went through my closet and managed to fill one large box and two large garbage bags of clothes, shoes, bags, etc. Who needs Spring Clean Up, when your mojo comes in December? LOL

Here are my tags for Day Ten:

I used a digi stamp from Stamp Prints to create a snowman patterned paper and then used red, green and blue Sharpies to add color. I used this sheet to make color copies onto thick white cardstock.

I cut them down to 2.5 x 5 tags. I used a black Sharpie to handwrite the to/from and to outline the tags.

These were easy, but they are so cute! I'll add ribbon to the ends when they are ready to be used.

GIVEAWAY:
I know I started the series late and the tags will probably be used next year instead of this year, but don't forget to leave a comment to be entered into my 12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 giveaway. Be sure to go back to Day One and leave comments going forward. Your comment(s) give you one entry to the drawing.

Christmas is only five days away people!! Are you ready?

12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day Nine

Day Nine is here and the tags are coming along nicely. The tags I made for today were inspired by the Merry Mixed Media free course I'm taking by jlb creations. I love his YouTube channel and also follow him on IG. Can you say obsessed? LOL I think he is so creative and funny. If you haven't heard of James Burke, you need to look him up.

This free course shows ways to use your washi tape. These "ugly" Christmas sweaters were a pdf that he provided. Basically you just put down some washi tape over the image and after outlining the sweater with a black marker, I cut them out, punched a hole and added a small circle to write the To/From.

Aren't they cute...er, I mean ugly? Which is your favorite?

GIVEAWAY:
At the end of the 12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 series, I'll be giving away one set of one of each 12 tags to a lucky winner. To enter the giveaway, leave a comment on all, some or one of the 12 day posts. You'll get one entry for each comment you leave. Good luck!

Holly Jolly Holiday with Quick Quotes

Hi there, I’m sharing a single page layout using products from December’s Club Q by Quick Quotes.
I inked the edges of both papers with Cactus PowderPuff Chalk Ink and all the embellishments. The fabulous thing about these kits is there are precut embellishments in both paper and chipboard.

I inked the tree edges in Cactus ink even though I knew the paper would cover them. I figured if I adhered it wrong, the ink will hide any mistakes.

I also inked the title chipboard in Cactus PowderPuff Chalk Ink. I love how the kit also included a die cut to mat the title!

The paper I used is perfect for the mixed media look without the mess, bulk or time. I didn’t do much else to the page except add some rhinestones to the tree on the bottom right. The rhinestones are also part of the Club Q kit!

Quick Quotes Products Used:
Holly Jolly Holiday Club Q December
Cactus PowderPuff Chalk Ink
Elements from the Club Q kit: rhinestones, chipboard

WOYWW #498 & 12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day Eight

Day Eight of the 12 Days of Christmas Tags series for 2018 is the same day as WOYWW #498. Read more about WOYWW on the Stamping Ground blog. Can you believe she's up to 500 posts soon!?! That's pretty cool!

My desk after making these tags:

If you haven’t already, check back to the last seven posts. I hope you’ll like what you see. I love making my own tags and this is my third year of the 12 days of Christmas Tags series. If you have time, click on the label to the right and see my past tags.

At the end of the series, I’ll randomly select one person to win a set of one of each of the 12 tags. Every comment is an entry for the drawing. You can leave one on each day, some of them or even one. I hope you play...

I’m a Quick Quotes DT member for 2018 and I’ve been playing with the December Club Q products for these tags. One of the project kits included these fancy cutouts and I thought they’d be perfect for gift tags. I inked each tag base with Kokomo PowderPuff Chalk Ink. I cut a rectangle and rounded two sides of it before adhering to the cardbase. The little decorative pieces are also from the Club Q kit and I popped them up using 3D adhesive squares.

I love this paper line from Quick Quotes. It’s called Holly Jolly Holiday and it’s a lot of fun! Great traditional colors and patterns.

Don’t forget to leave your comments for your chance to win and to click on over to the Stamping Ground blog to check out other deskers!

Happy Holidays!

12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day Seven

More than halfway there! Here’s another set of tags I made for my 12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 series. Be sure to leave a comment for an entry to win a set of one of each of the 12 tags. You can go back and leave a comment on the past six posts as well.

I bought some festive holiday donut wrapping paper this year and these tags were inspired by them. I have this stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey and knew I wanted to create some fun donut tags to go with that wrapping paper.
I also used out this set for the holly leaves

And here are my tags:

I’m not sure if you can tell, but the frosting is adhered with 3D adhesive. Although the holly berries and leaves were stamped in black, I decided to go over them white a white pen. I also edged the frosting and “to/from” label with a gold marker. The “to/from” labels were punched with a fancy label punch from Stampin Up!

Giveaway:
At the end of the 12 day series, I’ll be selecting a random commenter to win a set of one of each of the 12 tags. Leave a comment on this post, the past six and come back for the remaining five tags!  Good luck!

12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day Six

Hey there, I decided to keep the Cricut out and make these super cute Santas! I cut them at 3”. I didn’t realize when I started cutting that there were so many layers! I love that the layers give it a sturdier base for great tags! These Santa come from the Simply Charmed cartridge.

When I cut the red layer, I didn’t realize that there was a nose and threw them away. I was going to recut but decided to use a hole punch instead. I was much easier for sure!

Be sure to leave a comment on this post and the other five tag posts for an entry into my giveaway. At the end of the 12 days, I’ll select a commenter to win a set of one of each gift tag. Each comment, gives you an entry.

Good luck!

12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day Five

Day Five and the tags are coming along great. For today's tags, I cut snowmen from the Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge. This is one of my favorite cartridges since the images are adorable and there's something for every season and reason.

I cut the tag bases out of lt. blue cardstock and adhered the snowmen on the right side of the tag. I then splatted whip cream Color Silk from Fun Stampers Journey all over the tag and snowman. Once that dried, I used some Nuvo Drops (oh my is that what they are called?) around the snowman.

Years ago I created tag kits for a Craft Fair and this was one that was left over. For whatever reason, I never made the tags...but since this is the Christmas to use my stash, here you go!

Giveaway:
Don't forget to leave a comment for an entry into the 12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 giveaway. The selected commenter will win a set of one of each of the 12 tags created this series. Go back and comment on past posts and don't forget to look forward to the next seven tags!

Good luck!

12 Days of Christmas Tags 2018; Day Four

On the fourth day of Christmas Tags, I made these nutcracker tags!

I was gifted a few different Jolee 3D Christmas stickers years ago for my birthday. You know what's coming next...I never used them. Apparently, the theme of this years' tags is "use your older stuff"!

I used the same banner tag bases and covered them with two different coordinating Christmas paper scraps. On the right side of each tag, I adhered one of the 3D nutcrackers. How have I never used these before? They are so great. I love them on these tags!

The small circles on the left were punched from another scrap piece of paper and added to create a space to stamp the "to & from".

Remember...this is Day Four of the 12 day series. At the end of the series, I'm drawing a name to win a set of one of each of the 12 tags. To enter, leave a comment on each, some or one of the posts. Obviously the more you comment, the more entries you'll receive. Good luck!

Christmas At Work 2018

Warning! Picture Heavy Post!
We've gone Christmas Crazy at work this year! It is so festive and fun and completely unbelievable! The pictures don't do it any justice but here are some to enjoy!

All of this amazing work was done outside of office hours. It seems every morning when I arrived to work, there was something new going on. We finally put a deadline of today, December 13th to end any add-ons.

Can you say Christmas Crazy? LOL

We hosted an employee kids/family night to see Santa, eat cookies, drink hot cocoa and go through the Santa's Village Tour.

Merry Christmas!
