Disney, Disney, and more Disney

So my sister & family are going on a Disney cruise and I get to make lots of Disney decorations. (I'm being sarcastic but secretly enjoying all the Disney goodies!) Apparently it's a thing to decorate your door and my sis is fully invested which means I am too.

Here's what I've done so far:
These are all 7.5"
The larger two are at 9"

11.5"

11.5" high & 15" long

Mickey is 16.75" tall!

This cutie is 11.5"

The skulls are 3.5" and the letters are 3"

Cartridges Used:
Mickey & Friends (Mickey heads & bows (large at 4.5" & smaller at 3.5")
Mickey Font (all the letters)
Everyday Paper Dolls (Snorkel Mask 3.5"; tube 6"; glasses 1.75")
Life's A Beach (ship, skull, bandana & eye patch, other boat items)
Simply Charmed (b-day cake)
George & Basic Shapes (balloons)

I'm sending these to my sister today. She'll get them laminated and put magnets on the backs. Even though I was complaining the entire time I was making these, I truly enjoyed making them. My sister is famous for last minute requests so I had to hustle to get these done in time!  This was the first time I used the 12x24 mat and papers. The paper on the pad that I have is so thin even though it says cardstock. It was hard not to rip the Mickey and boat, but I managed it.

ICADs 2017; Week Seven

The prompts this week:
The cards:

I liked the 1st prompt, lyrics, and decided to use song lyrics on each of the cards for this week along with the normal prompts. My favorite this week is card #2.  I love the bird in the corner and the blue highlights.  All stamps are from Bloom Art Stamps

TGIF; Thankful Friday #6

This week went by so fast I can't believe it's already Friday! I mean, not that I'm complaining, but wow! So, I hurt my back this week at work. UGH! I thought I was being careful, but I still hurt it. It seems odd to mention this on a Thankful Friday, but I am thankful for pain free days. You don't realize how lucky you are on a day to day basis until something like this happens.
I do have my aches and pains, don't get me wrong, but I am thankful that I can walk, talk, speak and hear. Wow! These huge things that we take for granted.
Now it's your turn! Tell me what you're thankful for this Friday. I'd love to hear your comments. Have a great week!

WOYWW #429

Hello Wednesday and happy WOYWW! Today is the day we get to take a peek into other crafters' rooms and work areas. All courtesy of Julia at Stamping Ground. Click on over to see the linkage and add your own link too.

Here's my desk:
So messy! I just finished working on a mini-album for my daughter-in-law's bridal shower in June. I started the album during the crop I went to a few weeks ago, but finally finished last night. It's pretty simple, but loaded with fun photos! Here are some pages from the album:

The papers and stickers are from Close To My Heart (CTMH). A set I've had for a few years. I am excited to say, I used all the stickers and patterned papers from this kit! I added some page flips so she can add more photos and left the journaling for her.

Now head on over to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to see more desks! Have a great week!

ICADs 2017; Week Six

Prompts for this week are:
And the cards:

My favorite this week is card #6.  I love the way the butterfly turned out.  I really did not follow the prompts this week, but that's ok!  I also did a lot more doodling this week.  FUN!

Stick It Down August Challenge

I love these photos of my Gracie girl eating that homegrown carrot! She has this hilarious side chew that we love and she got down with this treat! This layout was one that I completed while attending an all day crop. I used what I had and made a cute one!  Click on over to Stick It Down for some great sketch challenges. I love that they have a single page, two page and card sketch each month.

Join the fun challenge and enter a layout or two!
UPDATE:  My layout was featured on Stick It Down!

Caps On; MLB Opening Day

More layouts and more sketches! I love this sketch on Stuck?! challenge site. They have multiple sketches per month and this one is a great one. I don't usually do one photo layouts but I only had one group photo for this occasion. My coworkers and I wore baseball caps on the Caps On MLB challenge so we took a group photo.

I am so happy to report that the Giants beat the Dodgers in this competition. LOL

TGIF; Thankful Friday #5

This week was filled with two back to back birthdays so this week, I'm thankful for birthday celebrations and family time! I love that birthdays don't have to be huge and elaborate, but a day for celebration and love. We had cake two days in a row this week and that's another thing to be thankful for!  LOL

So, what are you thankful for this week?  Let me know in the comments what you are thankful for this week and join me in this new weekly series that I started. Every Friday is TGIF; Thankful Friday because there's always something to be thankful for!

Crop Til You Drop

So, so excited that we were able to attend the one day 10:00 - 10:00 crop on Saturday. Carly and I have been wanting to close the door to the Command Center and just scrapbook but other noises in the house distract us! LOL So we went to the one day crop at Katie's World and got a lot done!
As usual, it was a full house with lots of friendly and busy croppers. Both Carly and I got a lot done. Check out my flip through:

Even though my stomach was not cooperating all day, I still managed to stay the entire time. AND probably because I wasn't feeling well, only managed to spend $9 combined!

Katie is a young business owner and makes super cute Disney two page layouts. Click here to get to her Etsy site..

Another thing to note: I was proud of myself because I really didn't pack a lot of supplies. Normally when I go to crops, I make page kits for my photos. I didn't have time to make them this time so I grabbed a few pieces of patterned paper without too much thought and put them in my bag. Now, my crop bag already has a good supply of cardstock and other papers from other projects from other crops so it's not like it was empty. I mean don't get me wrong, the thing probably weighed 30 lbs. or so. Anyways, I was really happy with the creative side of my layouts since I had to use what I had. I really tried not to purchase items from the store.

Some of the layouts are not completely finished since I needed to add some more embellishments or photos, but they are completed for the most part.  Enjoy!

CWS Mid Month Inspiration Challenge #17 Boys to Men

There's still time to join the Creative With Stamps August Boys to Men challenge. Click on over there for mid-month inspiration.

I'm on a roll with the masculine cards!  I guess they're not as hard as I thought they'd be. Like everything else, you just have to make time to do them. Here's another one:

The background is a gelli print. This print is so fun I didn't have to do anything else to it. I used my MISTI for the car since it needed to be really, really dark. I had to stamp the car three times to get the dark black like I wanted! The MISTI is great for this and I couldn't have done it any other way even with a clear stamp.

Don't forget there's still time to join the August challenge at CWS

Day #29 - #35 Week Five ICADs:
If you're interested in the ICAD phenomenon, click on over to https://daisyyellowart.com/icad-base/ to read all about it and see the prompts. Get started & have fun!!

These are cards from Week 1 - Week 4

This is a fun activity that I participated in last year and decided to do it again. Although it's meant to be for the 61 days of June & July, you can start anytime - which is what I did this year and last.

Week Five prompts in order: polka dots, gyroscope, faux wallpaper, desert or dessert, orange, 4th of July and favorite type of apple

The finished cards in order:
UIKEYINPUTDOWNARROW

See the previous weeks & last year cards by clicking on the ICAD label to the right.

My favorite card this week is ICAD #5; orange. I went a little overboard on the orange mediums, but I just love this sentiment and don't get to use it very often. LOL

TGIF; Thankful Friday #4

This week I'm especially thankful for long time friends. I went to dinner with a friend of mine and we had so much fun. I'm surprised they didn't kick us out of the place! We were laughing so hard. It was great to be updated on her family, talk about old times & new times, gossip, and just catch up.

I'd love to hear what you're thankful for this week. Let me know via the comments!
