Without further ado, here's my desk:
I'm sure you guys are getting tired of my talking about my junk journals. But here's another finished piece (on the right) that I finished last night.
It started as a packing slip and then some mop up inks & paints. Last night I added a variety of washi tapes in the center. Then I added some white acrylic paint to cover more of the print on the paper and to blend in the tapes. I stamped three flowers using a Technique Tuesday stamp I got free at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in March; colored those in using a water brush and some inkpads; splattered some inks; stamped the sentiment and done!
You can see a peek of another junk journal in the top left corner. I'll do another post on that one. The rest of the stuff is just stuff left on my desk from making ICADs.
Have a wonderful week!
Oh, I almost forgot...I am hosting a GIVEAWAY this month. Click here for the original post, but basically, leave a comment on any of my posts from July 20th - July 31st for a chance to win a set of five notecards made from my original work. You can see them in my ETSY store (link to the right).
Beautiful journal pages. Fun way to use those stamps. Happy Week to you.
ReplyDeleteYou keep on about your junk journals, I find it fascinating as I wouldn't know where to start and admire people who can effortlessly do mixed media!!

That is how I make a lot of my backgrounds for cards, mop ups of inks. You went to the Stamp & Scrap Expo in March? I went in June! So fun! I went to a Heartfelt class, and got a free stamp set. I had never even heard of them before! Love their stuff. I also went to a scrapbook class and a Stamps of Life class; never heard of them before either. Not that I had to be introduced to anymore stamp companies! Have a great week Dorlene! #25

the ticket tape is kind of a really fun thing going through that page :) I think that having the glass mat is not going to make me not use the craft mats but, I think it will be easier to keep clean than scratch papers and such ( when they get wet ) not sure yet, ~Stacy #31

ReplyDeleteI’m going to admit something here...I didn’t really realise that a junk journal was literally made from junk paper like packing notes etc. I feel a bit silly! I dont know that I’ll ever get bored of your journals, so dont stop posting them on WOYWW days will you. Also, love the LOS you did in your next post, can totally see why that no colour will be so used!
ReplyDeleteHI Dorlene, I really enjoy seeing your junk journal pages and how you made them, it won't get boring because every one is unique :o) Annie C #10
