CWS July Challenge; Flag

Good morning and happy July! June came and went and hopefully the heat we've been having has gone too - wishful thinking!

At first I was stuck because I didn't think I had any stamps with the flag. Then I remembered these stamps I've had forever! They are old Stampin' Up! stamps that I've had for over 15 years. I kept the cards pretty simple.

I stamped the images on white cardstock cut at 3 3/4 x 5" with black archival ink. Then I used a combination of watercolor paint and markers to color in the image. I added some dimensional glaze to a few images to create some interest.

The sentiments are from a CTMH set and I thought they went well with the stamps.

Once the paint/markers dried, I matted them with dark blue cardstock cut at 4 x 5 1/4 before adhering to the white card base.

Very simple, but very cute!
