WOYWW #468 & Ninth Anniversary

Happy 9th anniversary to WOYWW! I started linking with this lovely group a little bit over a year ago because I remember when they were creating their 8th anniversary ATCs.  Crazy!  Click on over to Stamping Ground to read more about it.

Here's my desk this week:

I just finished a canvas project so the supplies/materials are still scattered around. This is a busy first part of the week for me - Monday I completed the canvas; Tuesday was my son's birthday & all the kiddos came over for dinner & cake; and tonight DS1 is getting married (this will be a quickie ceremony that needs to be done before they have their wedding ceremony & celebration in Mexico). Whew!

I'm excited to work on the PIF ATC exchange for the 9th anniversary. I haven't made an ATC in years so it'll be a fun project - as you can tell from my comment that I haven't started nor do I have a plan. I will however, get it done in plenty of time!

Click on over to Stamping Ground blog to check out the spaces of such talented people from all over!

  8. Hi Dorlene. I think this may be the first time I've visited you, although I made it around to visit everyone last week. So glad you have joined the desker family. I've been absent a bit, unfortunately.

You have a very busy life, I can see. You also have a very busy desk. It looks active.

Hope you are enjoying the WOYWW party. Happy 9th anniversary from #13.

  9. A busy few days for you this week but how exciting to have your son exchanging vows tonight. You must be so excited.
Happy 9th Anniversary, doesn't matter how long you have been with WOYWW it is one big happy family. Wondering if you swapped last year or found it a bit daunting with just joining in - hope you enjoy being part of the happy little band now.
    Hugs, Neet 12 xx

  18. Lovely busy desk, Dorlene. The canvas in your previous post is stunning! Thank you for your comment which made me smile - sorry my bee scared you lol! My bee-keeping friend was very offended by that bee because she said it was a bumble bee and it wouldn't be sitting on honeycomb lol! I told her she'd have to lump it because after all the work I put into creating that blog background and all the hair tearing that went with it, I was darned if I was going in there again to change it!! So glad you like my project - I'm feeling better every day and it's lovely to be getting back to normal at last. It's been a really tough few months all in all.

Happy belated WOYWW and 9th anniversary,
    Shoshi #29

  19. Hi Dorlene. Thanks for your lovely comment on my WOYWW post. To answer your question about the dresses on the hanger, it was a one year project where we made a mixed media dress each month for a year. Some months I made two dresses. Most people made theirs from paper and one sided only. I made mine so they could be viewed from both sides and I mixed paper with fabric.

If you ever feel like seeing how I made them, please go to my "Previous Collaborations" page (link at top), scroll all the way down to 2010 to see "Project Dress Up" where I have links to each month's dress. All my links open in new windows. Thanks for asking.

  20. Well done on the canvas Dorlene, and how inspiring is the desk it left behind. Lovely to rummage through! I hope the ‘quickie’ wedding went well...any wedding is a joy isnt it, and this one is just a prelude to another, how fun!

  21. Time really flies isn't it... I just looked back and I first joined woyww in february 2013... wowzah! And how fun it is that the group still exists and people keep on joining... I could not participate in the ATC swap this year due to the move to our new home but I hope to be there next year... have fun creating ATCs!!! Happy, belated, anniversary and a big hug from Holland, Marit #27

  22. Happy Anniversary! I'm trying really hard to get to everyone, but work time just isn't cooperating! To me, your desk looks like a happy desk--all set for project # 2! Good luck with your ATC's...let me know if you have a spare to swap, as I still have a few left. Have a wonderful week.

Oh, and congrats to the happy couple (just seen your latest post!) Thanks for visiting my blog earlier - hope it's still not too late to say Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your weekend! zsuzsa #8
