BBTB2 Ornament Challenge; 12 Days of Christmas Tags 2021 Day 3

Happy December! It's time for the next challenge at the Bitten By The Bug 2 (BBTB2)Cricut challenge site. The current challenge is ornaments. My hand is still in a brace so I had to create something easy and these ornament gift tags are surely easy!

I used the ornament shape from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and a coordinating stamp to decorate it. The "to and from" are on the back.

I used a silver marker for the tops and both cranberry & honey inks for the flowers.

Be sure to link your Cricut ornament project to the BBTB2 site!

This is also a part of my 12 Days of Christmas Tags series. Be sure to leave a comment on this post as well as the other posts of the series for an entry for the giveaway. At the end of the series, I’ll draw a name to win one set of each 12 tags. Each comment is an entry. The more you comment, the more entries! Good luck!

12 Days of Christmas Tags; Day 2

Day two of the tag series and I went an easy route with these.

I created these stickers by gell printing on some standard shipping labels and they were in my tag making supply container.

I knew using these stickers would save me some agony by eliminating the need to add adhesive to paper. I used my mouth and left hand to tear the labels in half diagonally and then stick to the tag base.

Then I added these 3D stickers to the bottom of each of them. I usually buy Christmas stuff after Christmas when they are super cheap-best time to buy!
Then some gold dots, an extra color tag and some black lined border.
And I topped them with some dog inspired buttons.
I'll need help adding ribbon to them, but I'm glad I didn't stop with just the labels and stickers.

Remember to leave a comment below and all 12 tag posts for an entry in the giveaway at the end.

12 Days of Christmas Tags; Day One

Happy Holidays! It's time for the Christmas tag series for 2021. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make a tag a day as the series usually is because of my hand but I am going to try my best to get them done!

As in previous years, there is a giveaway at the end of a set of one of each tag created. You can also purchase a set of the 12 tags for $8. Just leave a comment as each one is an entry to the drawing.

Here's tag #1:

And the YouTube video to kick off the series:

I used an assortment of shapes in Cricut Design Space to create them!

Sketch n Scrap Layout Sketch#238

Happy December 1st! It's time for new sketches at the Sketch n Scrap sketch challenge site. If you follow my blog or YouTube, you know that I had hand surgery on my right hand so I am very limited on what I can do. Although I am excused from the DT duties for now, I had to complete this sketch challenge.

One reason is because I'm going nuts not being creative and the second is that this is a simple sketch! Luckily I keep pre-cut embellishments which worked out for me!

The sketch:
The layout:
I used a 8.5x11 piece of cardstock for the photo to rest on - no cutting required and the floral piece was a scrap. It wasn't long enough, but I cut it and tucked it under the teal piece.

I'll add some journaling once I'm able to use my right hand or maybe I'll type something.

Your turn, be sure to click over to the SNS site to see the fabulous sketches!

Playing in the Command Center

As you know, I had surgery on my right hand. I cannot use it for another three weeks - at least, but I'm going nuts not being able to be creative. So...I decided to pull out some supplies and just play.

I had a lot of fun, created a video and encouraged you to challenge yourself to use your non-dominate hand to just add color to paper.

Here is a photo of some of the sheets. I don't know what I'm going to do with these, but I'm sure you'll see them soon! I did stamp the leaves and "thankful" for a card I'm hoping to make.

Check out the video here:

The stamps that I used & created can be found here: Bloom Arts

I used a large variety of ink pads from Stampin Up, Close To My Heart, Fun Stampers Journey (Spellbinders)

BBTB2 Fun & Games Challenge

The current challenge at the BBTB2 blog is Fun and Games. I feel like this could cover so many things but I created a scrapbook layout of our hiking adventures during the Covid summer.

I cut the title and cattails from Design Space, Happy Trails and cattail. The rest of the embellishments are stamps. This is a simple layout, but adding these cool cuts with multiple photos makes it fantastic!

Be sure to create a project using the Cricut and link it to the BBTB2 site.
