September is here and we're getting closer to fabulous fall days and nights. I can't wait to pull out my sweaters and boots! The challenge this month at Creative With Stamps is PUMPKINS.
I hope you join the challenge for a chance to win the monthly prize. Click on over to the Creative With Stamps (CWS) site and join the fun.
I pulled out some old Stampin' Up pumpkin stamps. I love these things!
Here's the card:
And this is how I made it:
I used two shades of blue pan pastels to create the ombre blue sky. This is the first time I used the pan pastels and wasn't sure what to do. I won't do the "sales pitch" but if you're interested in more information, leave me a comment.
After I let the pan pastels settle a bit (remember, these are basically potted chalk), I stamped the smaller pumpkin to the cardstock. I stamped another one of these on a piece of scrap paper to create the mask. Then I stamped the larger pumpkin right on top. I also used a small background stamp in the same ink color to the larger pumpkin. Stamped the stems and sentiment and that was all.
I matted this on an orange cardstock, added some sequins and done.
It's a pretty simple card, but I love how it turned out.
I hope you get a chance to create a pumpkin card and load it to the CWS site. The challenge goes through the entire month of September. Have fun!
This is so gorgeous!! I love the colors and the pretty pumpkins!! Can't believe it's September already!! Have a great weekend!! Big hugs :)
