A place to showcase my crafts and talk about it...what's better than that? I hope to inspire and encourage others to create things for themselves, friends and family.

Love To Craft Challenge Blog; May Anything Goes
Hi there! The challenge theme at Love To Craft Challenge Blog is always Anything Goes. This month, I finally made a cover for my Junk Journal signatures.
I made six signatures awhile ago and work on them all the time but they were not in an actual book or cover. I received a shipment using a Priority Mail cardboard box and for some reason, I looked at it and the spine was the perfect width for these and decided to use this for the cover.
Talk about a recycled project! I love it!
I cut it down to size and then adhered some scrapbooking paper to the outside cover.
Normally when you create a cover, the spine is cut separately, but I didn’t feel like cutting it apart (yup, lazy!). I made sure that I scored the paper and folded it back and forth on one side before adhering the paper to the other side. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but I made sure it could be folded.
Then I covered the insides
Instead of sewing in the signatures to the spine, I wrapped waxed string around the spine with six strands (I needed six for the six signatures).
Then I tied the ends together to make a bow. I hope this makes sense to you. I should have filmed it, but of course thought of it after I finished. Now all I had to do was open up the signatures to the center pages and slide them into the strings.
There are a lot of pages that still need to be finished, and this “book” allows the pages to lay flat. I LOVE how it turned out!
Now it’s your turn...link up your crafty project by clicking over to the Love To Craft Challenge Blog before the end of the month.
