Making Sticker Sheets

Hi there! I watched some sticker making videos during a free craft sessions and I was able to use what I learned to make some stickers for my daughter.

The sessions were hosted by Mimi Jenkinson and they were all very good. Lots of great ideas, information, tips and even some freebies! The tip I used for this project was to use WASHI as the material type when cutting these out. It was perfect!

See how easy they are to create by watching my YouTube video

Holiday Lights Layout; Jenlee Schoolcraft

Hi there, I'm using die cuts and puffy stickers from Photo Play's Mad 4 Plaid line courtesy of Jenlee Schoolcraft.  These embellishments are so cute and a great variety enough for several layouts.

And perfect to showcase this one photo of me, my daughter and son in front of the neighbor's lit up holiday home.

This neighbor goes all out every year so we always take a selfie in front of it. It's a lot!

I used three 6x6 plaid papers and one patterned 6x6 paper to coordinate with the embellishments and I paired them with Kraft cardstock. I love the homey feel!

I kept the embellishments and journaling at a diagonal to keep the balance on the layout.

Watch the process YouTube video for my thoughts and insight for this layout.

TomKat Strut Year Four Title Page Layout

This is a fun layout since it is really just one really large cut file and a sticker!

I saved some paper by gutting the base layer. What an easy step! Watch the process video:

There's really not much more I can say about it except this. But watch the process video to see how this is put together and if you are interested in hearing more about our family's Annual Virtual Marathon, let me know.

We designate the entire month for this marathon and we hold challenges, photo ops and even award certificates at the end. It has really helped our family take time to remember loved ones that we've lost and build on our relationships especially since many of us no longer live near each other.

I also do a quick flip to show the title pages for the other years of this annual event.

Hey Ghoul Hey Card

Hi there. I'm back sharing a fun Halloween card using Cute Monster Bride cut file from Printable Cuttable Creatables. This is one of many Halloween characters available in the Cute Halloween Faces set.

Instead of adhering her directly on the card, I thought she'd be cute in a Polaroid frame. Once I uploaded the Monster Bride into Design Space, I created the frame by stacking a rectangle and a square on top of each other and then slicing.

Before I forget, I copied the rectangle to create the base/background for the open frame.

After stacking all the pieces, I used liquid adhesive to glue the pieces together. I used thin foam adhesive to place her inside of the frame.

The sentiment, Hey Ghoul Hey, came from Design Space and I used the print then cut feature since the letters are pretty small.

Halloween patterned paper from my stash was used to add more fun to the cards.

TGIF; Thankful Friday #385

TGIF and another week to be thankful. This week we celebrated two birthdays. My daughter-in-law and hubby. October is such a great month to have a birthday.

The thing I'm thankful for this month is hanging out with the ladies in my family. We went to the Renaissance Festival and enjoyed it. It's always nice to get away and enter another land. Next year we all need to dress up!

What about you? What are you thankful for this week?

Owl Le Lu Jah Acetate Card; Jenlee Schoolcraft

What do I say about this card? I love it! I guess that's it. LOL

I've never made an acetate card before and I felt like this image from Stampendous that was given to me for the Jenlee Schoolcraft Design Team was perfect for one. The size is a little too big for your standard A2 card but I knew I wanted to do something special with it.

After coloring the image with an assortment of alcohol markers and adding some glitter and white highlights, I fussy cut the image.

The card is 5x7. The green cardstock is 7x6" with 1" score on the 6" side. (I cut mine 7x10 with the 5" score line and then trimmed 4" off one side.)

Acetate is cut at 5x7 and adhered to the inside of the 1" flap.

Cut a piece of the leftover green cardstock at 1.25" to adhere to the front bottom for stability.

Pattern paper is adhered to the inside as well as a circle placed behind the owl image and directly behind that on the pattern paper.

Watch the YouTube process video to see how this card was made.

Adding Signature in Design Space

As you may or may not know, my mom passed away earlier this year and with some money we received, I decided to treat myself to a BOGG bag. I picked one in her favorite color, purple, and wanted to personalize it more.

I searched for a greeting card that my mom signed and took a picture of her signature. Once I did that, I uploaded it into Design Space.

Watch the YT video on how to do this yourself.

I love the multi-layer option because it made the image clean up so easy! I also needed to thicken up her signature and using the offset function really helped with that.

The bag is complete and I love it!

TGIF; Thankful Friy#384

It's Friday and time to let you know what I'm thankful for this week. We had a wedding this week on a Thursday. The weather predicted rain, thunder, and lightning. It's an outdoor venue.

Yes, we got rain and thankfully that's all. It rained early and ended up being a beautiful evening!

That’s what I'm thankful for. A beautiful wedding in the middle of the week!

What are you thankful for this week?

September Junk Calendar

So, I did a thing! I saw this idea while scrolling through social media and thought I'd try it for September. You know what I found out...I eat out a lot! I really tried to add things that were not food related LOL

The idea is to create a calendar in the Junk Journal and add a piece of "junk" on each day that match that day's event(s).

I probably should have decorated the surroundings before adding the junk, but I did mine afterwards and I love it! I don't think I'll do this every month because after a while it loses its quirkiness, but I do like it.

Watch the YouTube video on the daily process and the finishing touches.

Whatcha think? Cool, right?

Do you think this is something you'd try?
