Hey there! It's Friday and another week to be thankful. I had a busy one but I'm especially thankful for my girls that always show up for me. I hosted a paint party at my home and it was a lot of fun.

Olaf Hugs Card

Is it too soon for a winter card? Never! I created this fun card using products from Jenlee Schoolcraft. The die and stamp set coordinate and are from Disney.

Olaf was cut five times in order to give him color dimension. Using my Sizzix Sidekick made this an easy task.

After cutting blue cardstock scraps to fit my design, I used the winter snowflakes and swirls stamps to create my own patterned paper. I used white, silver, blue and Versamark ink pads to create a fabulous snowy scene.

I used this for cutting dimensions.
I added foam adhesive on the middle rectangle, tied a bow using silver thread and created a banner for the sentiment to finish the card.

Check out the YouTube video to see how easy this card was to create!

Lavender Day Layout

This was a creative and fun day as you can see from the photos on the layout and a half. I created a 12x12 and a 6x12 layout for this event.

I love using different size layouts and pocket pages in my albums. It adds interest and fun in my 12x12 albums.

Patterned paper is from Carta Bella and so pretty. The title and lavender embellishments are from Cricut Design Space. I used the Annie Lu font which is one of my favs.

This layout focuses on the photos and the journaling. Watch the process video to see how it was put together.

Check out my DS file if you want to use these images on your own lavender layout.

Torn Paper Scenic Cards

I'm participating in a IG hop where we use the same product, technique or style three different ways.  I'm using the Friendly Seagulls set from Stampin Up and a card sketch from Stick It Down.

I've wanted to try the torn paper look for awhile and when I saw the sketch, I was inspired to try it. I love how the cards turned out!

Each one is unique even though I used the same technique and products!

Check out the YT video for the process:

Baby Shark Cake Topper

Jhené is two doo doo doo doo! I'm sure the song is now stuck in your head. Sorry!

My granddaughter is two today and I decided to design and make a Baby Shark cake topper using the Cute Shark cut file from Printable Cuttable Creatables website.

It takes a little bit to design a cake topper and my advice is to start off with your base shape. For this topper, it's a circle ring.

Once that's determined, you just need to add the elements, offsets and sometimes, multiple cuts.

Can you see all the layers! I think that's key when putting it together.

You can check out my YouTube process video for a visual:

TGIF; Thankful Friday #373

Happy Friday! This week I'm thankful for spontaneous adventures. This rarely happens for me and hubby but we did decide to take an overnight trip down the coast.

Morro Bay to be exact. It was great to get out of the heat and go to the coast.

Rainbow Crush YT Hop; Red

Welcome to Rainbow Crush – a Social Media hop where we share projects that feature a color of the rainbow each month! This hop is hosted by Tara on her Facebook Group.  Anyone is welcome to play along.  This hop takes place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month!  The color for July is RED.  Please use this prompt anyway it inspires you.

You can sign for the next month’s hop over on the The Paper Snob Community Facebook group:

Here's my complete layout. I love it so much and red was the perfect color for July. Watch my process video but just so you know, this layout was so easy to put together and I used all scraps from the same page kit for this background. Scraps that I was considering tossing moments before I had an AHA moment. What a great way to use your scraps!

Wedding Card?

Hi there. I just finished a different wedding card. Sure it has flowers, tulle and bling but it also has dark colors and skulls. This tunnel card might be my favorite card I've made this year!

When I saw this skulls on the Mathilda and Godfrey stamp set from the Jenlee Schoolcraft website, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. Combine it with a darker floral 6x6 paper pad from my stash, it all came together better than I imagined.

You'll have to watch the YouTube process video to see how this was created.

I used two different oval sizes for the middle cuts on two pieces of the patterned papers to create the tunnel affect.
Foam tape helps with dimension which allowed me to tuck elements in.

I hope you can see the dimension on it and all the details. I used alcohol markers to color the stamped images, die cut foliage and bling to complete the front.

The bride loves Halloween and everything inspired by it so it's made specifically for her. I know she's going to love it!

Go to the Jenlee Schoolcraft website for budget friendly options for your crafty needs. Items are new and/or slightly used - good quality at excellent prices. The stamp set and foliage dies are from the website.

TGIF; Thankful Friday 372

Can you believe I missed another Friday?  Now that I'm retired, I forget what day it is!

Well this week I'm thankful for friends. There’s a group of recently retired ladies and we decided to meet for breakfast this past Tuesday. It was so fun and we decided to continue to meet on the first Tuesday of every month.

I'm thankful for the friends that put this all together!

What about you? What are you thankful for this week?

Using the Cricut Scrapbooking

Hey friends. You know I use my Cricut a lot with my scrapbook layouts and this one is no different. I cut a large hexagon shape to set my photos and title on.

So easy! But I didn't stop there. I also created a fun title using a fun child-like font and a fun splash image in Design Space.

Just a few enamel dots and some journaling strips complete the layout. Watch the process video to see how I saved some paper using the gutting technique.

Would you like to see a tutorial on creating a layout title? Let me know!

LTCCB; Pop Out Z Fold Card

It's time for a new six week challenge at the Love To Craft Challenge Blog (LTCCB). This challenge blog is for any type of crafty project, I happened to create a fun fold card - pop out Z fold to be exact.

Here's the card before I added some embellishments. It looks difficult but it's actually pretty easy.

The card base is 5.5x11 scored at 2 1/8 and 4.25 on the 11" side.

You'll also need three pieces of either the same or coordinating cardstock cut at 1 7/8" square. (Green squares)

I added a layer (green) of coordinating cardstock as well as another layer of patterned paper. Watch the YouTube process video for more details. Each layer is 1/4" smaller than the other.

The pop out mechanism is 5x1 scored at 1, 2, 3, and 4" to fold into a square. Use a strong adhesive to adhere the square together and to attach it to the inside fold of the middle of the card.

Added some die cut leaves, sentiment and gold pearls to finish this cool pop out card.

Be sure to link your crafty project to the LTCCB blog. Remember it can be any type of craft project. Even if you don't link a project, go check out the DT projects as well as the linkers. Don't forget to leave comments!
