More mixed media fun in my Little Golden Book Junk Journal. This page already had the beautiful painty background and then I added three big yellow circles.
That started the motion for the rest of the spread.

Quarterly, we will do a recipe challenge rather than a single ingredient. This hop goes live on the THIRD FRIDAY of the month. We will have a hop on YouTube and Instagram to show how we used the challenge ingredient(s) for the month.
The mystery challenge for March is a recipe challenge. For March, the challenge is to create a layout using the following items: Stamps, embossing powder, and a cutfile (or a die cut if you don’t have any cutfiles).

Day 9! I can't believe the 12 Days of Christmas Tags Series for this year is more than half way done! Each year I'm surprised at all the different types of tags that are created. Take a look at the past tags by clicking on the 12 Days of Christmas Tags label at the right.
For today's tag, I used an ornament stamp that gifted to me by Rubber Paws and some glittery vintage snowflakes by Ann Griffin that were also gifted to me. I don't usually create vintage type projects but when I saw these snowflakes, I knew I had to use them somehow and this ornament stamp was perfect as their base!
I did minimal coloring and added an embossed To/From tag to finish them off.

Sometimes I tell myself to clear off my desktop before I start the next project but then I make the cutest cards using all those random items so maybe not.
I had a card making session using items I found on my desk and here's the result.
Be sure to watch the YouTube video to see all the steps. My favorite thing was using the circle as a mask to create a cool inky background with two ink pads and some splatter.
I always have a hard time with tying a bow so a simple knot was perfect to add some more color to the card front.
The bird was fussy cut from a panel I stamped & colored earlier and using thinner foam adhesive worked well to add dimension.
It's Day 7 and the Final Day of the Masculine Card Series! I did it! What a fun series and I'm glad you stuck around to see the cards. Scroll to the end to see all the cards.
For this final card, I sort of lost my mojo. It took me awhile to get started on this one but eventually it all came together.
I stamped the Camp Snoopy image on white cardstock and thought I had a tent stamp but couldn't find it so I grabbed what I thought was the next best thing...a teepee!
Awhile ago, I put together an outdoor/hiking scrapbook kit so I grabbed those paper scraps to go with this outdoors stamp. Then one thing led to another as I pulled out a fun border punch to add some interest to a plain black cardstock strip.
Also...who knew you could stamp on cork? I'm so glad I came across that cork embellishment. I think that really brought the card up a notch!

It's Day 4 of my Masculine Card Series week and I have a different card for you. I'm a little upset that I don't recall where I found this cut file but I'm sharing it on Cricut Design Space if you're interested in recreating this card.

I created the Masculine Card Series to challenge myself to make more cards to send to males. I find that it's much easier to create a girlie card than masculine. This series will last seven days and it's already Day 4.
Sketch n Scrap has the best card and one page layout sketches. Check out their blog or Facebook page to find them. I created a fun Peanuts characters card using sketch #244.
I did some cleaning in the Command Center and came across these stamps that were gifted to me by Rubber Paws (read more about her HERE). I completely forgot about them.
I stamped and fussy cut a bunch of characters and used a variety of markers to color them. I also used a background stamp to create a tone on tone effect on the yellow cardstock base using Buttercup ink from CTMH.

Hello loves! I purchased this background stamp from Altenew at least a year ago and finally decided to use it. I pulled out the Cougar Smooth White Cardstock from CutCardStock and stamped two different shades of purple.
After adding some gold splashes and a sentiment, I decided to mat this panel with Gold Glitter Cardstock also from CCS.
Originally I prepared a cardbase with the same white cardstock but decided to use Basis Dark Purple instead. What a difference!
After doing all that, I felt like it needed something more so I added two skeleton leaves from my stash that were gifted to me from Rubber Paws (read more about her HERE) and a gold bow.
Wow! Don't you love it?! It is so unique and pretty. I can't wait to play with this background stamp some more!
It's time for another Love To Craft Challenge Blog project. You know me...I love to craft so it's easy to come up with fun projects for this challenge blog. The challenge will run from September 1st through October 15th so you have plenty of time to link a crafty project. Any type of crafty project and anything goes!
If you follow my blog, I mentioned months ago that we had a hummingbird nest that hatched one baby hummingbird. It was so cool to watch mama protect her baby and it was a bonding moment for all the females in our family. You can read more about it HERE.
It took awhile, but I finally decided to do a hummingbird spread in the Junk Journal. I used stamps instead of attempting to draw them and some Pearlized Paint that was gifted to me years ago from Rubber Paws. I rarely use these paints mostly because I forget that I have them.

I love how I rarely have any plans for my Junk Journal spreads but I always have the right mind to know when it's finished.

I have been gifted so many stamps from people that I forget what I have. I was digging in my stamps and found this super cute bird stamp. Since I needed a sympathy card, I thought it would be a perfect image.
I stamped him using an archival black ink pad and used alcohol markers to color him in. Originally I was going to make him a bright blue bird, but changed my mind to a more subtle color.
The 6x6 paper I chose for the background has this beautiful color transition but to add a little more to it, I used a neutral colored ink and added a script background stamp to it. Love this detail! I love to use my older supplies and this was a perfect addition. Look how awesome it looks on the bird circle too!
Some white gel pen dots to add a little more to the birdie. It's the little things that make such a big difference!
I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment because I didn't want to take any chances on messing it up but since I just opened that new stamp pad, I really didn't need to do a second impression.

Hey there, I've returned as a Design Team member for the Love To Craft Challenge Blog. I love to create so it's perfect for me. LTCCB has changed their challenges to six weeks versus a monthly challenge so you have from July 1st through August 15th to link your Anything Goes project.
The thing I love about this challenge blog, is that it's not just a paper crafting blog, it's a "whatever you're crafting" blog. We want you to share your craftiness!
For this challenge, I did decide to showcase a handmade card with fun stamping. I had a request for a dragonfly card so I pulled out all my dragonfly stamps. Little did I know that I had six of them!
The stamp I selected is the one that I stamped in Electric Lime. I also used a purple watercolor pencil to add some color to it.
The black inked dragonfly was an afterthought. I started putting the other stamps away but I really liked this one so I thought...hmmm, what if I stamp this one over the green dragonflies? You know what? I LOVE the way it turned out!
I hope you do too! I also used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the panel and added sequins as well.

Working with sketches cures creative blocks. There…I said it! Yes, we do get creative blocks once in a while don’t we?!? The sketches from Sketch n Scrap sure do help me and it’s fun seeing what you can come up with.

The background is a scanned copy of my own art. I then added some splashes of watered down white acrylic paint. The watercolor pencil and sentiment are from CTMH.

As mentioned in the video, this sheet/masterboard was created a while ago but was never used. I am so glad I kept it. Once I cut it down, I added more splatter and some squiggles using a regular pencil. Other than that, it's just paper & stamped images.
