A place to showcase my crafts and talk about it...what's better than that? I hope to inspire and encourage others to create things for themselves, friends and family.

The two younger ones and I participated in Chalk the Walk at both of their schools. Along with other parents, students and members of our fire and sheriff offices, we drew happy pictures and positive sayings at the school openings and sidewalks. It was over 100 degrees but it was fun.
Grades this year: 11th, 1st, and preschool

Is it Friday already? This week went by so fast. On Tuesday I took my two youngest granddaughters for a little road trip and sleepover. We visited my uncle and aunt but also lots of cousins and two of my sisters.
I'm thankful this week for that mini reunion and also thankful that the girls had a great time as well.
We're definitely going to go back soon since they got along so well with their little cousins!
What are you thankful for this week? Please share!

My niece and family came to visit on Sunday so we decided to partake in a little county adventure. We went to a local apricot orchard and picked some apricots. It was a beautiful day and quick trip but the time we shared was great.
I have to tell you, this U-Pick thing has really hit our family. I was always so against it, but my granddaughters love it and I think we eat more than we actually put in the buckets.
We picked blueberries the week before and it was like eating candy. So good!!
By the way, our town is the Apricot Capital of the World so of course we had to pick apricots. Honestly, if someone would challenge us now, they'd win because unfortunately, most of our orchards have been replaced with homes.
So what are you thankful for this week? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Friday and it's another week to be thankful! This week I'm thankful for books.
My daughter and I have been challenging ourselves to read as many books as possible during the summer months. We're in our 26th year. It started on May 29th and will end the day before the first day of school.
So far I have read three books! Once I complete the books, I write a book review. If you're interested in reading those reviews, follow me on IG @retir_edmd.
What are you thankful for this week?

TGIF and happy thankful Friday. This week was a weird one since Monday was a holiday. We didn't do anything different except my daughter was home from work.

Happy Friday and another week to be thankful. This week I am thankful to be home. For two days, I didn't do much and then the next two I hung out with my girlfriends.

Hello and happy thankful Friday! This week has been loaded with lots of out-of-town family time. I'm so grateful, I mean thankful, for the ability to travel with gas prices at $5+ per gallon; physically able to handle 12+ hours of drive time and the time.
Woo hoo for retirement once again!
What are you thankful for this week? Please share in the comments.
