Hey there and Happy New Year! I'm joining the Printable Cuttable Creatables Design Team for another term for the winter and I'm really excited about it! If you haven't checked out the website, you must do it soon. The cuts are adorable and such great variety. If you use the code 3SONS15, you'll get 15% off your order!
My first project for the new DT term is this cute Happy Baseball Rocking Card. The cut file has the baseball and a baseball cap. The nice thing is that you don't have to use the cap if you don't want or vice versa...you don't have to use the ball if you only want the cap! That's two cut files in one!
As always, I lay the pieces together before adding adhesive. This helps to ensure that your pieces are in the right place before you get adhesive where you don't want it.
Once that's determined, I used liquid adhesive to lay them together and used Sticky Specs for the red laces. I actually remembered to pull out the tweezers for those!
For the rocking card, I cut a 5.5" circle and folded it in half. Used a bone folder to give it a good crease. The patterned paper is cut to half of a 5" circle. I used my scissors to trim off some of the top edge. You can see that on my YouTube process video.
Be sure to place the ball on the card base just under or at 4.25" high and in the center horizontally. You don't want this to be larger than 4.25 x 5.5 in order to fit in an A2 envelope.
Other than a quick stamped sentiment and some faux stitching on the cap, this is it. Isn't it super cute?
Be sure to check out this project on the PCC blog as well as other DT projects. There is such a great variety of projects and you'll find lots to inspire you!
