SNS Card Sketch #254

Another excellent card sketch from Sketch n Scrap! I needed a card for a baby shower so I used this sketch to create the front of a gift card holder. The image was one that was given to me from a swapping friend so I don't know anything about it. The plaid paper is from Taylor Expressions. It's from a 6x6 pad that I've had in my stash for awhile too.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

As you can tell, I turned the sketch to its side for this card front. To make it a gift card holder, take your 4.25x11" card base and score it at 2.75 & 5.5".

Fold at the 5.5" score line. Now, open the card with the inside of the card facing you and the 2.75" score line towards the bottom. Fold up at the 2.75" score line going towards the inside of the card. I trimmed off a little less than 1/4" from the bottom and used a 3/4" circle punch to create a notch before adhering this section. Put strong adhesive on only the two sides. This creates an inside pocket that holds the gift card.

Watch the YouTube process video for a better description and to see how this gift card holder is put together. It's actually pretty easy. I'm definitely going to use this for gift cards I'm gifting this Christmas.
