The current challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 (
BBTB2) is Star Wars or Stars. I purchased some really cool Star Wars SVGs and had great plans to use them, but then this happened...
I bought this cute sweater on clearance at Walmart; wore it once and dripped something on it; right smack in the middle of it. My first thought was that I'd toss it. It was $7 so I'm not out a lot of money, but then...
I watched a tv show and one of the characters had a gray sweater with black stars on it. Ding, ding, ding!!!
Thank goodness I didn't toss it! I bought some flock HTV a while ago from Craft HTV and hadn't used it yet. I decided to use it for this updo and so glad that I did.
I used the star from Basic Shapes and cut out six of them. After peeling the excess between the stars, I knew I didn't want to waste any of it so I used a punch to create smaller stars!
Here's the after...for a little more than $10, I have a super cute customized sweater!
Have you used flock before? It has a suede-like feel to it. It's pretty neat and super easy to use. Cut the flock like regular HTV but with more pressure. Set your heat press to 315 degrees and press for 15 seconds with a warm peel. Easy!
Now it's your turn, be sure to create a Star Wars or Star themed project using your Cricut and link it to the
BBTB2 site before the two week deadline.
