H2H Sponge Challenge

I just made it in time for the February challenge at Heart2Heart Challenge blog which is a challenge blog for Close to My Heart (CTMH) products. I ordered some new ink pads in Carolina, Capri and Nectarine and decided to use these with my card.

Ok...I had an idea and after the second attempt, it still didn't work. So instead of trashing it, I decided to go with the mistakes and change my plans.

What do you think? I love the color combination of these ink pads!  So pretty.

Check out the video for my oops moments and how I just rolled with it!

If you use CTMH products, be sure to check out the Heart 2 Heart blog for challenges and inspiration!

Inks:  Carolina, Capri, Nectarine, Black Archival Ink
Stamp Set:  Flowers For You
Punches:  1 3/8" and 1.25" circles

Daffodils!

I posted a haul video on my YouTube channel a few weeks ago and I wanted to show off a card I made using a Build-a-flower set from Altenew that was part of the haul. I definitely did some retail therapy. Here's the haul video if you're interested in viewing it:

I love these sets from Altenew and I love the way these cards turned out!

You just can’t go wrong with these layered stamp sets! I love that many stamp companies are coming up with these.

Check out the quick video on the flowers:

Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel and hit that notification bell if you want to be notified of posted videos. I made a goal in 2022 to post at least two videos a week and at least one of them must be scrapbooking related. Check it out!

No Limits Scrapbooking Layout

Need a place for all things scrapbooking? Check out my friend’s website here. She has a free and paid membership. Both have tons of tutorials, contests, and everything scrapbooking!

I’m on the Design Team and this layout is from one of the weekly sketches:

So the ‘No Limits’ stamp obviously has a cut on it. Do you know how to fix it? I think it looks ok for this layout since it gives it a rustic edge to it, but I need to figure out how to fix it for future layouts.

I also created a YouTube process video:

Months ago I created a kit of papers and embellishments to use for my Hiking in 2020 album. It makes it so easy to choose supplies for these layouts. This one uses four random patterned papers that I would have never put together if they weren’t in this kit! I’m going through my tons of paper stash and I love it!

If you have an event that will require lots of pages, I recommend creating a kit first. It’ll save so much time digging for supplies instead of creating.

Check out the gathering video below:

Enjoy!

Sketch n Scrap and Tacos

I had a lot of fun with the card sketch #212 from Sketch n Scrap  and a stamp set from Ink Road Stamps. I hope you like it.

Here’s the sketch:

I used a variety of alcohol markers to color in the dog and a variety of 6x6 paper scraps.

Make sure you check the SNS blog to see more sketches and to be inspired to create your own projects!

TGIF; Thankful Friday #210

Friday! This is an extra special Friday since it's the beginning of a three day weekend! The nice thing about working for a school district is we get all those holidays! This week I'm thankful for my son's visit. I miss him! He is here for a short time since he has plans in the area with my other kiddos.

So yay! All my kiddos are near me this weekend.

How about you? What are you thankful for this week? Share in the comments, I'd love to hear more about it!

Paper Pieced Flower; Junk Journal

I love trying new techniques and this one I’ve been thinking about doing for a while. I wasn’t sure how I was going to start but watch the process video to see how I figured it out and completed it.

Here are some photos of the final spread.

Do you love it? I need to practice more on color placement but for my first time, I am happy with it!

Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see more process videos.

Watch the video:

Ok, I did freak out a little when glueing the image to the Junk Journal spread, but it ended up working out. I'm going to have to experiment more with this technique because I was pretty happy with the end result!

Cool, huh?!?

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! Last week I went to Bath & Body Works to buy a birthday gift and of course walked out spending over $100! But I bought three body lotions for my daughter & two DIL’s for Valentine’s Day.

I created these cute tags for each:

I grabbed red and multiple pink ink pads and lots of heart & love related stamps. I created stamp clusters before but I should have gave these a little more thought. Some of the placements are not quite right, but I still like them. I just don’t love them! We’re always so critical of our own work, ha ha ha!

YouTube:

I added more stamping after I filmed but it’s the same process.

TGIF; Thankful Friday #209

Happy Thankful Friday. The weather has been perfect this week and it's nice to have some warmer days. But what I'm thankful for this week is I applied, interviewed and offered a new position at my job.

I applied but I really didn't think I would get it. When I received the call with the offer and was surprised...pleasantly surprised but still...

I've been in my current position for 16 years! So, yeah, it'll be different, but I'm excited and thankful to learn new things.

So...YAY me!

What are you thankful for this week? Let me know in the comments!

STDA; Scrapbooking With AnnMarie

I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll let you know again, my friend has her own scrapbooking website that is all scrapbooking ALL the time. She hosts classes, tutorials, Zoom crops, etc and it’s free. There is a paid membership option too which has tons of benefits and you should definitely check it out HERE.

I was a Design Team member when she first opened the site - I took a break and now I’m back!

Here’s a sketch:

And here’s my layout:

Yellow, Yellow and More Yellow Junk Journal Page

I pulled out so many different mediums for this spread and all in yellow! Mists, markers, paints, paint pens, gelatos, inks, etc.

Then added some greens and white before drawing and adding the sentiment.

I even used a homemade stencil. I love how it turned out! Working in the Junk Journal is so much fun.

I’m loading a second look at each signature of my Junk Journal. This one is in Signature #4 and the flip was posted earlier. Be sure to check it out my YouTube channel for all the flips!

Slumber Party Layout

Six photos on one page seems like a lot but I was able to get all six, a title and a few embellishments too!

Check out the process video on YouTube:

Photos and close ups:

I created the print & cut title plus the embellishments on Design Space. All free with Cricut Access! The more I play with the print and cut feature, the more I like it!

My goal for 2022 is to post at least two videos on YouTube a week and one must be scrapbooking related. I know it’s only been a month but I am reaching the goal. Be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell so you won’t miss a thing!

TGIF; Thankful Friday #208

Friday! I'm so glad to see you! We had a windy week and all the allergies came out but the sun was still shining. I'm thankful for California weather. Well, I guess I should say, Central Valley California weather.  I know it can be bad in other parts.

How about you? What are you thankful for this week? Let me know in the comments.
