CTMH

I hosted a Close To My Heart workshop last Friday and was able to get the new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for half off.  I am so excited!  This cartridge has all kinds of great shapes, a great font and lots of fun 3D items.  I cut out some spiral shapes that roll up and make a flower.  LOVE it!  I cannot wait to get it.  I have to wait a couple of weeks still, but I just can't wait!

Feathered Friends Page/Card Candy

I just made some hen page/card candy for a Feathered Friends swap that I'm hosting on Splitcoaststampers.  What do you think?  Cute, huh?
I put a yellow piece of cardstock under them, but it seems like I should have used another color.  They look sort of boring, but they are really cute.

Easy and Sylish Apron

Here's one of the aprons I made for my coworkers daughter.

The other one I made is blue and brown.  So cute, Amy!

Layout Challenges

I just joined Let's Scrap which is a website for scrapbooking layouts and inspiration.  I'm looking forward to new challenges for my pages.  I'm hoping to start posting more of my layouts as well.  We'll see :)

Invitations

These are invitations I made for my niece's birthday party.  I love my sis, but she always gives me short notice to get things done.  Thank goodness for the Cricut!  I used the Joy of the Season cartridge for the ice skate.  These invites fit a standard business size envelope.  So cute!  I hope the color comes out because they are bright pink, orange and a sort of lime green.

15 of them in three days.  Gotta love her!

Inspirational word/Quote Swap

Here are photos that I took for the inspirational word/quote swap that I'm in at Splitcoast.  The first photo is what I'm submitting and the second is what I'm keeping for myself.

The colors didn't come out very good.  They are a more bright color and each color block is 2x4 inches.  I sewed the edges and either stamped or embossed each square.

New Projects

Believe it or not, I actually took some photos of some things I finished.  These are notebooks I made for my baby sis' niece.

I didn't realize it when I made them, that Hope's, my sis' niece, school mascot is the owl.  Don't you love when things like that work out?

These tags are for baby tags for a swap that I'm in on Splitcoaststampers
Now I need to sew a blanket to go with them.  My swapping friend, Barbara (aka Ducki) is hosting a swap where the items will be donated to a local hospital for newborns/new mommies.  I love that idea!  I bought this stamp set, I think it's called Forest Friends from Stampin' Up years ago and only used it once before.  It's so cute!

Happy New Year

Have you had one of those, "I can cut my own hair" days?  Well, for some reason, I had one of those recently and it was not good!  Since I was hoping my curly hair would hide the cutting flaws, I didn't want to go out and get a real haircut.  Well, I spent a long time in the bathroom and told myself, it wasn't that bad.  Of course, I had to also put more make up than usual, some earrings and even some lipstick.  If you know me, you also know that I can't take a good picture to save my life.  I have to say, I'm pretty happy with how these turned out even with the jacked up hair cut.
The cutie in the back is my baby girl, Carly.
