Paper Pad Party With RTS

Hi there. I’ve been a little obsessed with a YouTube channel of RTS Scrapbooking. Janet’s channel encourages Record The Story (RTS) in scrapbooking. Her layouts are so pretty and not over complicated. She has a super cute accent and gives tons of hints/tips and ideas during her videos.

Right now, many scrapbookers are working on December Daily albums and I’ve always liked the idea but feel like I would either spend way too much time and money on this or my book would be so boring that I’d give up half way through. Well, her idea is to create two 2-page layouts instead. So, you still take a photo a day but you put multiple photos on layouts.

I printed mine wallet sizes. I did that by creating a 4x6 collage on Walgreens. These prints are only $.39 and you can technically have more than two photos but of course they will be smaller the more photos are collaged. But, when you only have two photos per 4x6, they are wallet size.

If you are interested, go to RTS YouTube channel. I’m sure I can add the link, but I’m not sure how...follow along and join the fun!

I finished the left side of the first two page layout. The idea is to use the paper pad to create all your embellishments etc. Basically, use your paper!

Here’s the first page:

Here’s what I did...after adhering the patterned papers to the cardstock base, the pages were technically ready to go.  I played around with photo placement and they worked out by NOT being in day order. I did, however number the photos so I can write more about each one later. I haven’t decided when/where I’m going to do it. LOL

I punched snowflakes and stars out of more of the patterned papers. I cut out portions of the titles that worked best for me. I also added some sparkle tape and silver sparkle enamel dots. The stamps are from a Project Life kit I bought years and years ago and finally used them. The stamps encouraged the title...Oh Yes, December!

I’m also entering this on the Scrap Our Stash challenge blog. The challenge is to create a winter layout and to use snowflakes.

  2. Hi Dorlene. You've been busy. I think I'm with you - no way could I do a layout page each day during December - I'm too often travelling around the nation visiting friends and family!! Much better to simply do a few pages.
    Take care. God bless.
