Monochromatic Challenge - Layout

I love challenging myself and this was a good one! The challenge is for a monochromatic layout with a neutral. I chose green and continued with photos for my Hiking 2020 album.

Here are some photos:

Different angles:

The spread is pretty basic as I didn't add a lot of embellishments but I did pull out the Cricut for the moose and title. I used the tree cut outs from the title to create another cluster above the journaling spot. I added some brown color splashes, enamel dots and washi tapes. Oh, I almost forgot about the cork arrows as well!

I filmed the process if you're interested in watching me put this together:

I used a sketch book from Close To My Heart to create the base and that's why I didn't include the measurements but it's pretty simple to figure out on your own.  I did decide to keep the 1/2" strips at 12" to add a little interest.

I'm entering this layout in the Heart2Heart CTMH challenge blog since I used lots of CTMH products to complete it and also the Double Trouble challenge blog since they are teaming up this month. Both sites have GREEN as their challenge.

CTMH Products Used:
All Cardstock (browns, greens & vanilla)
Patterned Paper
From Your Heart Volume 3 Sketch #9

Other Products Used:
Color Silk from FSJ/Spellbinders
Green patterned papers, enamel dots & washi tapes from my stash

  2. Dorlene, what a fun hike! I love how you scrapbooked your memories and used the monochrome green papers to tie your pages together! I was so curious that I looked up where Fremont Peak is located, and found out it is near Monterey Bay! We are heading in that direction at the end of this month, so with encouragement from your pages, I hope to add the hike to our list of things to do! Thank you so much for sharing your adventure and beautiful scrapbook with us at Double Trouble for our "Bring on the Green" challenge! -Donna
