LTCCB March; Funky Cool Cards

March first and time for a new challenge at the Love To Craft Challenge Blog (LTCCB). I am so excited to share these cards with you! I made a bunch of gell plate pulls and decided to grab a bunch of them & other scraps to make these mixed media, collage, layered funky cool cards.

This cool piece is a piece of patterned paper that I cut a lot of circles from my Cricut and then used it as a stencil on the gell plate. It was a thin piece of paper and pretty much ripped once I used it as a stencil. I almost threw it away but I'm so glad that I didn't.

This is the pile of papers/scraps that I used for these cards:

First layering & adhering the pieces to the card fronts:

Then added details with a white POSCSA pen, some stamping w/black archival ink & script stamp:
Now some gold, white and black splatter plus added a border using a black pen:
Added sentiments, adhered to colorful card bases and DONE!

Don't you LOVE them!?!

Now it's your turn...create something...anything and link it up to the LTCCB before the end of the month.

  1. Some people would have just thrown those scraps but oh no not us creatives.. every scrap can make a stand and don't they do that magnificently. Fabulous work.. I love them all.

  2. I love these cards! And I think your showing the steps along the way is great. I also have scraps I think I'm going to toss, I save and end up using them. :)
The photo of your starting pile looks like my dining room table.

  3. I've only ever made a card with Cricut templates. I save all kinds of scraps from cardstock, felt, foam, to HTV vinyl. Thank you for the creative ideas! Love your creations!!
