Mine for the week:
I had a lot of fun stamping and trying new techniques over the weekend and it spilled out through the week. So fun!
Here's a close up of the card on my desk. I decided to make it a 3D flower bouquet by stamping the image 3x. Well, the 2nd and 3rd stamp concentrated on the flowers not the boot. I colored and then fussy cut the whole set of flowers with the exception of the top right and the 3rd stamp, I only cut out the front right flower.
I had to add the beige color around the edge since the marker dropped and left a mark on the white cardstock. And as an afterthought, I decided to stamp the paisley background stamp around it. Cute, huh?!
I was able to get my first vaccination shot on Monday. My arms a little sore, but it's not bad.
I hope you have a creative week!
Thanks for visiting me earlier. Love your card and great news about the vaccine.

those flowers are fab! glad you've had your first jab - got mine booked, too. Helen #3
ReplyDeleteThat card is genius and it really does look 3D so you succeeded in your aim I’d say! The beige looks great so you worked your way well around the dropped pen, I do that sort of thing all the time! Hooray for having your first jab, I’m waiting to get my first appt.

Fabulous dimension on your card, don't those sunflowers look sweet in that cowboy boot so cute. There's always a solution to a little crafty mishap, great fix. Glad to here you had your first vaccine.

That card is fabulous! Sunflowers are my favourite and they look so great popping out of that boot. As always, stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8
ReplyDeleteHi Dorlene! Your 3D card looks fantastic - loving all those layers! Thank so much for popping in earlier! Enjoy the rest of the week! xx zsuzsa #24
ReplyDeleteLove it, the 3D is extra super. Love sunflowers, such happy flowers. I certainly cram the photos on a page, but that's what I did in my old sticky albums so scrapping isn't much different for me really.
ReplyDeleteHubby is having a rather bad reaction to his jab, knocked him for six from about 5 hours after it and the following 24 hours. He's been taking lots of pain meds but nothing stops him eating though - LOL. I'm still pondering it all as I can get nauseous even after a dental injection.
Thanks for the visit BJ#16
I love your 3-D sunflower card, Dorlene! I adore sunflowers. What a happy accident that was - the background is brilliant with the subtle pattern and the inking. Much nicer than if it was just plain white. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit. I'm glad you like the cat blanket - it's coming on fine. As for the damaged parcel, I quite agree. Some delivery drivers are really slapdash and careless - mostly young men and they couldn't care less. At least my juicer came through unscathed. I've contacted the supplier and they were very grateful and said they would be having words with the delivery company, and also their warehouse people because obviously the box wasn't strong enough.
Happy belated WOYWW,

ooh loving the idea of layering the sunflower stamp looks really effective.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my desk already

I love it when you’re on a roll and just enjoying the doing! That card is a stunner, I think the addition of the paisley print is great, I would never have thought of that!
ReplyDeleteHi Darlene, got here eventually:). Your card is really lovely. I have to say that I often put a splodge somewhere I don’t want one when I make cards. Or sometimes the splodge is inside when I do the writing :(. Have a great weekend Angela #21
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card - I just love sunflowers! I like to layer stamped images as well. Thanks for the earlier visit - Happy WOYWW, I am very slow at getting round this week - nearly there!! Stay well, stay safe, Cindy # 23
