Good morning and happy WOYWW! I've been busy making page kits for the upcoming Scrapbooking Retreat my daughter and I will be attending in May. I know it's early, but the way these weeks are flying by, I don't want to do it last minute. Making kits helps me when putting together layouts. I'll be honest, I don't always use the kits, but they are still nice to have.
Here's my desk...nice and clean!
I know I mentioned this before, but I purchased another Cricut machine over the holidays. Since this machine can only be used with Cricut Design Space, I don't use it as much.. It's not hard to use, but it's just a lot more steps than just plopping in a cartridge. I didn't want to keep the machine in my closet so I purchased this metal shelf for both machines can be on my work desk.
The bottom machine should fit under the shelf until I realized that I didn't account for the brackets. Dang it! It's not wide enough, but it still works ok like this.
I feel like she's the mama giraffe and we're waiting for her to have her baby...but here's the latest photo of the braided rug. It's almost done!
My granddaughter was over the other day and she says she wants it for her room. I'm pretty sure that's where it's going! I will tell you, if I ever decide to do another one, I'm DEFINATELY going to machine sew it!
What is WOYWW you ask???!!! Click on over to Stamping Ground and read all about it.
That rug is fantastic!! I love the colours you've used, no wonder your granddaughter wants it. I've seen tutorials for this on Pinterest and wouldn't mind having a go myself.

ReplyDeleteOh dear the "Goldfish - cheddar" bag has grabbed my attention and I am too transfixed to take anything else in??? What is it? Never seen the like before!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the concern over my fingers with all the embroidery. I do have lots of knobbles growing on my finger joints, age thing!!! and they can ache and unfortunately my right hand goes tingly and numb quite often which makes holding the needle quite hard and then there is the back stabbing of the eye of the needle into my ring finger. Of the joys of embroidery. Thanks for visiting me, just getting round to catching up now. BJ#5
Love the rug!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the storage will work itself out, shame about the brackets, I've met up with that problem many times.
Sorry I am so late, visitor got i the way of commenting yesterday and I was flat out trying to do my journal post for today in the evening.
Sorry, Neet 3 xx
What is in the Goldfish cheddar bag, I am absolutely intrigued.
ReplyDeleteLove the rug, it is beautiful, I keep saying I will make one and I never get round to it.

The cricut space will work itself out. I found a 3-tiered shelf at Menards last fall for $8. Bob put wheels on it for me. I'll show a picture of it tomorrow. Works fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWonder how sewing that rug on the machine would work? I've never been able to do one of those without it becoming a bowl. LOL
Creative Blessings!
