Krazy Kreations Fun Fold Card

I feel like this card has all the things! First of all the cute cupcake sticker from Krazy Kreations, glitter paper (also from Krazy Kreations), alcohol markers, fun folder, sketch, Alice in Wonderland patterned paper and two shapes cut from the Cricut.

I purchased the cupcake stickers at the Expo earlier this year from looking at all the cool samples in the Krazy Kreations booth. I didn't attend a workshop but it seemed easy enough. I did however, check out their website to get hints on how to work with them.

The glitter paper is white so I could use alcohol markers to color in whatever color scheme I wanted. My colors matched the Alice in Wonderland paper perfectly. Although this is not AIW specific, it is so perfect for a birthday! I purchased the AIW paper from Scrappy Boy; also at the Expo.

I used a sketch from Sketch n Scrap and thought this easy fun fold card worked perfectly with it.

Watch the process video especially at the end where I had a big OOPS, but managed to salvage the card!

Attach the sticker to the glitter paper; color the insides of the sticker; fold the card as desired & adhere the fun AIW patterned paper plus some cardstock; use the Cricut to cut a scalloped and regular circle; stamp sentiment in the inside and done!

I love the quality of the sticker & glitter paper from Krazy Kreations! I'm definitely going to look closer at their booth next year at the Expo. I can see how these can be a lot of fun and make stunning cards! Yup, I'd purchase more!

Bee Kind; PrintableCuttableCreatables

My daughter-in-law asked me to personalize some items for two of my granddaughters but I didn't want to leave the baby out. I used the BE KIND SVG cut file from PrintableCuttableCreatables for this cute addition to a plain white onesie.

The thing I love about working with PrintableCuttableCreatables images is that there are multiple choices to use depending on the type of material you plan on using.

I selected the image group suitable for HTV and the one with open wings.  So easy to cut, weed and apply!

I used the mini press to apply the image to the onesie. The mini press is perfect for small projects like this!

And here's the final project!

Rediscover Your Stash YT Hop

I'm participating in a YouTube hop with others from Rediscover Your Stash (check below for more details). I love these stashbuster challenges because I really do bash some stash!

The stash to bust this month is acrylics. I started off thinking I was going to use acrylic paint on this layout, but I'm not really a fan of wet mediums on my scrapbook layouts. I don't like the wrinkling of paper and overall look.

As I was contemplating what I was going to do, it dawned on me to use the multiple sizes of acrylic blocks as a stamp! I used an assortment of colored inks from my stash and just stamped all over.

After stamping multiple ink colors all over the page, I used a fine point black marker and outlined each "square". I used a script stamp to add interest using generational stamping. Once I added the photos, I added the acrylic stars, labels and a base for the title to the page/photos. Each label has a very short description of the photo since this is a Month in Review layout.

Stickers were used for the title and an acrylic paint black marker & white were used to dress them up.

This layout is completely different than what I would have imaged but I really like it. It's a little funky but works for this Month in Review layout.

Acrylics Used:
Acrylic blocks for stamping; Acrylic black stars for embellishments; Acrylic black paint marker to change the look of the letter stickers

Summer Box Card

Oh how I love this box card! It's perfect for a summer birthday girl! I purchased the cut file from My Scrap Chick and it is super cute and easy to assemble.

The only thing you need to do before cutting the pieces is to change the cut lines on each base layer from cut to score and attach them. Otherwise cut as is - no need to resize or make other changes!

Watch my YouTube process video for instructions and tips!

May the Fourth Be With You Layout

This photo of my granddaughters wearing the Star Wars shirts I made them is so priceless. I knew I needed to create a layout just for it.

I used the Cricut to cut a cute title, stars and even a couple of droids. And this sketch from Stick It Down for the layout. It was just perfect for this photo! You can find Stick It Down on Facebook. They post three new sketches a month - one page layout sketch, a double page layout sketch and a card sketch.

Be sure to watch the YouTube process video to see all the details!

Happy Pencil; PrintableCuttableCreatables

Hello and Welcome to Back to School time. I don't actually work in a school but I do work for a school district so our decor is usually school themed. Which makes the Happy Pencil SVG from PrintableCuttableCreatables perfect for a little bulletin board decor.

When uploading the file, PCC has two images to select from depending on what material you're using. I'm using paper so I removed the bottom images from the cut file.

Once I did that, I regrouped the images and then resized at 9" height. This pencil needs to be a good size to grab the attention of my coworkers!

As always, I stack the layers together before adding adhesive.

Most of the pencil is put together using liquid adhesive with the exception of the "metal" part that holds the eraser.

And here it is so cute on our break room bulletin board! I used black and white pens to add more details but it wasn't necessary - this guy is so super cute on his own!

Watch the YouTube video for more details and check out my new intro & ending screens!

Love Fall Most of All Junk Journal Spread

It's been a while since I opened the Junk Journal to create some painty fun. I know it's still triple digit degrees outside but since school started this week, I'm ready for Fall. Because I love Fall most of all!

The page I used in the Junk Journal is the inside of an envelope so there's already a cool patterned on it. My daughter had some leftover orange & yellow acrylic paint and I think that encouraged my image choice. I used my favorite tools - my fingers - to put some pumpkin shaped blobs on the spread.

Once that was dry, I added Ranger and Vicki Boutin crayons to add more color, highlights and details. You'll also see some chalk pencils, white and yellow paint pens, black & white fine point pens being used until the pumpkins are finally done.

Watch the process video to see more details:

Do you have trouble with white paint pens like I do?

TGIF; Thankful Friday #330

Happy Thankful Friday! This week I'm thankful for another end to Summer Reading Marathon. Both my daughter and I came sliding in at 18 - yes, I said EIGHTEEN - books each. So this year we tied.

The rules of the marathon is that the person who reads the most gets treated to Baskin Robbins by the other, but I guess we'll be treating ourselves.

When we talked about which was our favorite book and why, it was interesting to note that both of us felt like we read good books but not a great book.

My favorite was the Trejo biography with Poster Girl in second and The Guncle is a very close third.

What are you thankful for this week?

TKS Year Three Layout

Oh Lordy...I've been slacking on my scrapbooking layouts. Well, if I'm being honest, crafting in general. I printed lots of photos of the TomKat Strut III Virtual Marathon and I'm ready to tackle these layouts!

I also need to show off the new opening graphic for my YouTube videos. Canva is my best friend!

What I love the most about this family marathon is that everyone posts photos or comments during this time and really brings us together. We are definitely creating new memories. Read more about the Virtual Marathon below.

This layout is the introduction page for the third year so only one photo will be used. Each year, we have a new graphic.

I used a sketch by Sketch n Scrap as my inspiration but I’m not sure if it’s even recognizable. I’ll let you be the judge!

And the final layout:

When you watch the YouTube video, I want you to take note of the paper I used. It is a nautical paper collection but as you can tell from the subject & photos, there is nothing nautical about it. I went with this collection for three reasons.  1) the color scheme was perfect for this year's strut 2) I was destashing and in a "use it or lose it" kinda mood and 3) how do I not use a collection named Tommy when that’s where the Tom in TomKat stems from? It goes to show that even specific themed collections can be used for anything.

Products Used:
Tommy Paper Collection by CTMH
Title & embellishments by Cricut

TomKat Strut:
In 2021, one of my nephews' passed away in a horrible accident. Because of the quarantine, a funeral service was not possible. My daughter and I participated in a Virtual Marathon and we thought that would be a great thing to do with our family and dedicate it to my nephew. My nephew was homeless at the time of his passing and his immediate family started feeding the homeless in his honor (Operation TomKat) and using their own funds. We shared the information to our family and most of them decided to join the virtual marathon and collect money to help support Operation TomKat.

A Virtual Marathon makes it possible for all family members to participate from wherever they are. We have family in Northern, Central and Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Mississippi and others that happen to travel during the month of November (that's our Strut month). We've had strutters in Mexico, Italy, New York, Washington D.C., Washington State, and I'm sure I'm missing other sites.

TGIF; Thankful Friday #329

Happy Friday - scratch that...it's Monday! Yes, I'm late, but I was on the road on Friday and completely forgot to post for TGIF; Thankful Friday!

I was out of state for the week to visit my sis and mom. Apparently I missed my mom so much that I brought her home with us! Last week, I was thankful for time with family. The weather in AZ was hot and humid and rained almost every evening but it's so cool watching the thunderstorms while we're safely in a house.

I'm thankful to hubby for taking a side trip to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburger. Our son, Tony always recommended that we go there because the hamburgers were so good and he was right. They were good and juicy and slightly different than your average fast food hamburger.

We both bought the double smoked bacon burger which may have been a mistake because neither of us like smoked bacon...but like I said, the burger was really good!

So last week, I was thankful for new experiences. It was great to see my sister too!
