WOYWW #489

Happy Hump Day and WOYWW! To find out more about why I'm sharing a photo of my desk, click on over to Stamping Ground site and read all about it.

My desk:
I took this photo from the side so you can get an extended look at my desk surface. Last night, my daughter and I were making shirts for her Girl Scout Troop. I made a SVG of the Girl Scout logo and we designed a shirt using it. I'm pretty sure, it's not legal, but I figured we are not selling them and am using it for personal use. My daughter is the leader and has a troop of 25!

She's doing it in collaboration with her work at the After School Program at one of the elementary schools in town. She is so perfect for this role and is having so much fun with it.
My daughter, mom and I went shopping over the weekend and I found my new favorite shop. It's called the Vintage Market and is a great combination of vintage and semi-vintage items. I bought this 3x3 card with the above quote by Audrey Hepburn. I'm definitely going to use this on an art journal spread at some point. There's a lot more that I believe in, but I thought this pretty much sums it up.  LOL

Be sure to click on over to the Stamping Ground and take a peek into our craft rooms.

  1. Hi Dorlene, I'm pretty sure it's not legal either but I'm sure the girls will be thrilled with the shirts. The vintage shop sounds lovely and I do like that quote from Audrey Hepburn. I have a stamp with another of her's somewhere - she seems a good source of quotes. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #22

  6. What a great idea to do the t-shirts for the troupe, Dorlene. Well done! Audrey Hepburn was Dad's favourite film star and your mention of her was a lovely prompt to think of Dad - not that I need many because he's always in my thoughts! I love the quote. So fun and upbeat! I love the idea of laughter being the best calorie burner. We all need to do more of it lol! I would love to visit a vintage market. Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed my various antics and photos! I keep trying to cut down and get some proper rest but I never seem to succeed!

    Happy WOYWW,

  8. I used to be in the Girl Guide (as it is called in England) Movement. I had a group of girls aged 11 - 16 and then as the older ones had to leave I began what we call a Ranger Group for the 16+ age group. One even became my Assistant Leader. I went on to do lots of other things but will leave it there.
Love your busy desk and the quote from AH.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  12. As I’m coming on Saturday here and late Sat it’s barely Wed or hump day or any such.. but happy WOYWW and yes enjoyed peek at your desk so reassured that you use to shove back and clear method on it too. My desk when totally empty is big but not when I’m using it! Yes Audrey Hepburn quite is good but as you said I believe in whole lot more before that as well as that. I wonder if she knew the Lord. I guess the Lord knows ’that one.
Oh and as nice and sooo yummy as those chockie dippers on Friday look I’m going to have to skip.. unless it’s on a not counting day as reckon they’ve be over my limit .. our summer coming up I’ve got to try again!!!

  13. Hi Dorlene, I really do think copyright laws should be relaxed for creatives, as long as you're not selling stuff or sharing somebody else's work as yours. Sometimes, they're so restrictive, you feel like you can't do anything unless you start from scratch! Us bloggers are so darn honest, we always own up on our blogs LOL - look at me scanning in designer papers LOL! Would love to visit that vintage market! Thanks for your visit earlier - enjoy your weekend! zsuzsa #17
