SID December Sketch

I love this sketch so much that I did a second layout! Click on over to Stick It Down for awesome sketches for 2-page, single page and cards. Be sure to visit their site again on Friday, December 8th to see my Guest Designer layout too.

The first layout I did as Guest Designer, I actually painted some florals & other mixed media pretties on white cardstock. I wanted the same feel so I brought out some gelli prints I made specifically for items for DS3's wedding. Well, I did this and I did that but I just couldn't get it to look right. Then I decided to cut the sheets into strips & banners.

I knew if I started putting things down, I'd eventually work with it until I liked it and that's what happened! I love the final layout!

The photo placement, hand drawn heart & title placement were inspired by the sketch.

Here:
My layout:
The photos & everything else are placed on a vellum sheet and then adhered to white cardstock. I added washi tape, gold thread and black sequins on each upper corner. Other than that, not much more except of course those gorgeous strips of gelli print papers & gold scraps.

Very cool!

There's plenty of time to join the sketch challenge so be sure to click on over to the Stick It Down site and join the fun.
