I stumbled upon the Stamping Ground blog the other day, but it wasn't on a Wednesday so I needed to wait to post. This person started this blog to see what others were working on. She just celebrated her seventh year with the blog. Pretty cool!
So...drumroll...here's my desk. I don't know how I manage to create things on it when it's so full but I swear sometimes it's clear.
My latest project: creating mixed media pieces with a Christmas/Holiday theme.
When creating mixed media pieces, I seem to pull out everything but the kitchen sink. I started this project with a previously made background so I only had to add the snowman and some more details.
I just started making printed notecards from my original mixed media pieces. I love the way they are turning out and will be gifting these as well as selling them at craft boutiques and possibly etsy (if I get brave enough).
Thanks for checking out my workdesk. Click HERE to check out other workdesks and projects and if it's Wednesday, join the link party!
Check out these cards I made previously using Lila Grey digi stamps.
Welcome to WOYWW! This is a wonderful group. There are so many talented people joining in around the world with a bunch of different projects. I love your mixed media piece and your desk looks great!

You just keep getting better all the time! Im so impressed.
ReplyDeleteHello Dorlene, a very warm welcome to WOYWW! It's very nice to meet you (and see your desk!). It's an amazing group of crafters from all over the world who are caring, sharing and quite wonderful. Julia, who started it all, is recovering from major surgery at the moment so I'm keep it going in her absence!
ReplyDeleteYour desk is looking very creative today and I like your mixed media work...good luck with the notecards etc! Hopefully see you next week.

Oh my gosh, that is the CUTEST snowman!!! I want to start printing note cards from my pieces as well and do the gift idea! My husband has been after me for awhile to do that! What was the process you went through to do it? Was is easy to do? Love your sharing! Blessings, Felicia #50
ReplyDeleteFelicia, email me and I can let you know my process. My email is doorknocker3@yahoo.com. If you don't see this, I'll come visit you on your blog.
DeleteLove the snowman.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to WOYWW, but beware it is very addictive! You meet the nicest people though and they are all so talented and helpful. It really is the best community in blogland.
Happy WOYWW!

Dorlene!!! WELCOME... Big GIANT Smile! YOu are going to LOVE IT here... I only discovered WOYWW about a year ago and this is the most fun I have had on the web EVER! There is NO pressure, post every week, once a month or once a year... there is NO pressure. I have found it pretty impossible to pop into everyone's blogs, read them and comment because I would be at the computer there all day (grin) but I quickly discovered my "favorites" and of course went to visit anyone that left a comment on my blog (Like YOU DID!) and if you put the "number" of your link after your name we can find you quite quickly... Smile. I LOVE your messy desk space... because mine looks like that more than it doesn't. I was absolutely BLESSED this year to be able to design and build my brand new studio space that is bigger than the first apartment I lived in (grin) so I have been making a monumental effort to keep it tidy... so please do pop on by and check out the Studio REVEAL post I did back in April... it's worth the visit even if I do say so myself! ReplyDeleteDorlene, I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one with a messy desk! Love your cute snowman and I'm sure your friends and family will love receiving a card with this image.
ReplyDeleteYour snowman is adorable. My desk is still much messier than yours. One day I will get it cleaned - and then mess it up in less than an hour I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
