Grateful Journal/Junk Journal

Carly and I are creating a Junk Journal/Grateful Journal with a little push start from another swap I joined on SCS.  These are the two pages that I completed.  They are numbered 1-7 so each day of that particular week, you can write at least one thing you're thankful for...

All products used are from Stampin' Up.  The first page, I decided to make my own subway art/patterned paper for the background.  I grabbed a bunch of different "Thank You" stamps from my collection.  Started with the largest stamps and then started filling the spaces until the entire 12x12 sheet of paper (three and a half of them) were filled.  Colors used:  More Mustard, Perfect Plum, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Cajun Craze.  These are the color challenge for the Color Me Beautiful challenge site.  I then stamped the Eiffel Tower in Basic Black in the lower right hand corner and added a punched red heart.  The Eiffel Tower stamp is from the stamp set "Artistic Etchings" from SU! as well.

The second page is also using all Stampin' Up products.  I stamped the largest shell in Groovy Guava and then masked it so it would remain on top.  The other shells are using Bordering Blue, Sahara Sand and River Rock.  (I forget the name of this retired stamp set.)  After inking the edges with River Rock, I punched Groovy Guava cardstock using the tab punch and adhered to the upper right corner of each page.

I'll be sure to post pages of the journal as we make them...
