Color Me Beautiful Challenge #2

Another color challenge...

This challenge was to use at least three of the following colors...Very Vanilla, Calypso Corral, Raspberry Ripple, Always Artichoke and More Mustard.  I only had AA and MM ink pads and VV cardstock.  I definitely need to purchase new colors with Stampin Up!  Which I am tomorrow :)  All products used are from Stampin Up.  This card is pretty easy to make:

On this particular card, I used white as my card base and mats color.

 For a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card cut mats to this size:
3 1/4 x 4 1/2 and 2 1/4 x 3 1/2

The Very Vanilla cardstock (or cardstock that you'll be stamping on) cut to:
4 x 5 1/4
3 x 4 1/4 and 2 x 3 1/4

Stack the three stamping cardstock onto each other centering the smallest down to the largest.  Use repositionable tape to hold the layers together.  Stamp your sentiment on the smallest piece of cardstock and then stamp your images largest first and then fill in with smaller images.

For instance in this card, I stamped the large Always Artichoke leaves first and then filled in with the More Mustard leaves and Close to Cocoa acorns.

Once you're done with that, peel off the three layers and permanently adhere to the mats.  As you place the two smaller matted stamped cardstocks to the larger image, be sure to try to match location of stamps so it flows together.  They obviously will not match exactly since there's a mat between them, but get as close as possible for a cleaner look.

You can embellish with ribbon, brads, etc.  In fact, I think this card would look a little better with a vertical strip of ribbon on the right of the "Thinking of You" sentiment...

Follow along and challenge yourself of the new Stampin' Up Color Me Beautiful Challenge site.  Entries are not limited to cards.
