TGIF; Thankful Friday #394

Another week has gone by and here comes another Thankful Friday. Well folks, I had a week!

This time of year is so busy and I may have overdid it a bit. I'm thankful for my birthday day. We saw granddaughter 2 in her Christmas Program, then got my free Starbucks. Went out for breakfast, watched a Christmas movie, took a nap and then opened the door to a surprise delivery. Went out for dinner with the family and then enjoyed homemade cake. Wow! What a great birthday!

Oh, I forgot to mention after three weeks of Central California fog, I'm thankful for finally seeing the sun on Wednesday!

What are you thankful for this week?

Oh Bother...Printable Cuttable Creatables

Hi there! I'm sharing an adorable layout I created used two cut files from Printable Cuttable Creatables. They are Honeycomb and Honey Pot.

They go perfectly with a Winnie The Pooh image I already had.

What I love about the honeycomb cut file is that there are a multitude of sizes and choices of them. I used three different types to create a triangle around my page and the honey pot was perfect to house Pooh.

Using liquid adhesive is perfect for the pieces and my adhesive of choice.

Once I laid down the layers - there are four - it was easy to put together.

I did a little inking around the label of the pot just to separate it from the rest of the pot. The file does have two different colors but I decided to keep the the same.

The pictures of my daughter and granddaughter, some paper scraps and Pooh together with the honey cuts make a super cute layout!

Be sure to watch the YouTube process video to see how I put it together in Cricut Design Space first by using Guides and then complete it!

Click on over to Printable Cuttable Creatables to find cute cut files and if you use 3SONS15 as a coupon code, you'll get 15% off your order.  This is only good thru December 31, 2025.

TGIF; Thankful Friday 393

Another late TGIF post but at least it's here I'm thankful this week for being busy. Maybe a little tired too. This week I volunteered for the book fair with my daughter.

It's always good to see ex colleagues and spending time with my daughter. I don't think I drank so much sweet coffee ever!

What are you thankful for this week? Let me know!

12 Days of Christmas Tags Series; Day 12

This is it! Gift tag number 12. I wanted to include the ridiculous 6 7 that's taking over our youth this year. If you've got a young one, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I adjusted a file that was in Cricut Design Space to make it easier to put together and less pieces. Find the link for this cut HERE.

Watch the YouTube video for the last gift tag and make sure you leave a comment.

I used Christmas bread tied to finish them and Nuvo Drops in Ivory Seashell to highlight the snow covered numbers.

The giveaway will end Sunday December 14 so be sure you leave all your comments by mid-day. The winner will win a set of one each of the 12 gift tags that were made during this series and be announced by that evening.

12 Days of Christmas Tags Series; Day 11

Thanks for following the 12 Days of Christmas Tags Series and for making it to tag 11. To see the previous tags, you can just scroll back or click on the label to the right.

These gift tags were fun to create since I got to go through my painty papers. And I have a lot!

Even the background papers are from my stash of painty papers. The design itself is not new or exciting but using these quirky, fun papers really brings them to another level!

What do you think? Pretty cool, huh?

Watch the YouTube video for my thought process.

Be sure to leave comments for an entry into the end of series giveaway. One person will win a set of one each of the 12 tags!  Good luck!

12 Days of Christmas Tags Series; Day 10

Day 10 of the tag series is probably my favorite. I decided to paint Christmas tree on wooden tags. I just painted this during a paint night with my friends last week and thought it would be perfect in miniature form. I was right! They turned out so good!

I used two shades of blue, two shades of green, black and white acrylic paints and some clear Stickles to rub over the trees once they dried.

Watch the YouTube video to for the process. This one will be a little longer but it'll be worth watching!

At the end of the series, there's a giveaway and one person will win a set of one of each of the 12 tags made during the series.

Leave a comment for an entry. Leave one every day here, my YouTube channel, instagram and/or Facebook. Good luck!

Here's a picture of my finished canvas and my friends.

12 Days of Christmas Tag Series; Day 9

12 Days of Christmas Tag Series; Day 9 uses a Disney die that I got from Jenlee Schoolcraft website. Check out the website if you're interested in budget friendly both new and gently used craft supplies. If you use my first name, Dorlene, you'll get an additional 10% off the already low prices.

Back to the tags, I cut six white, 6 brown and 6 gray Olafs,  basically 3 cuts per snowman. I know I could have used markers to color all the parts but I liked the extra layers. I did, however color the carrot noses with an orange alcohol marker.

I added two washi tapes to the bottom of the embossed tags to add color and to make it festive! I also stamped a greeting and some snowflakes to the background.

Tinsel ribbon and red string finish it up!

Be sure to check out the process video on YouTube along with all the other tags already posted.

Leave a comment here, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook for entries into the giveaway at the end of the series. Each comment on the different platforms = one entry. The lucky winner will receive a set of one each of the tags created in this series.

12 Days of Christmas Tags Series; Day 8

Day 8 of my 12 Days of Christmas Tags Series. For today's tag, I used four different punches.  I took a tab punch to create a snow globe base; a circle punch for the snow globe and snow; crop-a-dile and a tag punch. Finished them with cute caroler brads I purchased from Eyelet Outlet.

Topped them off with silver thread, holographic disc and a jingle bell to each tag topper.

These snow globes are about 2" tall and oh so cute. So perfect to use your cardstock and patterned paper scraps!

Be sure to check out the process video on YouTube along with all the other seven tags already posted.

12 Days of Christmas Tags Series; Day 7

Day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas Tags Series. For this set of tags, I used a Sizzix Love Story die for the doily, Graphic 45 Tags and Pockets of the Joy to the World collection. These two products were from Jenlee Schoolcraft website where you can find budget friendly crafty products. These products are new and gently used.

I used some blue tag bases that I had in my stash and some snowflake stickers from Anna Griffith that was gifted to me years ago. I don't usually do vintage, but these products were so pretty and I thought, why not play with them!

Be sure to check out the process video on YouTube along with all the other five tags already posted. Leave a comment here, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook for entries into the giveaway at the end of the series. Each comment on the different platforms = one entry. The lucky winner will receive a set of one each of the tags created in this series.

12 Days of Christmas Tags Series, Day Six

We're at the halfway point of my 12 Days of Christmas Tags Series and this one is an easy one. I saw this print then cut project by Marta Silvestre on Cricut Design Space and made no changes except changed the size of them.

Like I said, easy. I don't feel bad about it because that's what crafters do.  Create projects, share them and hope others make them too!

I did make them my own by removing the names on the labels and most importantly, added the fun twine with beads to finish them off.  Click HERE for the DS link.

12 Days of Christmas Tags Series; Day 5

Day Five...have you been following along?  Make sure you're leaving comments for a chance to win a set of one each of the 12 tags made this year.

I used a funky and fun Elf Made stamp set by AALL and Create.   I colored them in using alcohol markers and white pen highlights.

The chipboard tags and vellum sheet were gifted to me by two crafty friends.

The vellum is glued only under the elves but tied together with a variety of ribbon and a large jingle bell!

Make sure to watch the YouTube video to get some tips on the tags!

TGIF; Thankful Friday #392

It's Friday and another week to be thankful! This week I'm thankful for the start of the Christmas season. I had a busy week with friends and other activities and for that I'm thankful. I'm especially thankful for the paint night I hosted on Tuesday and my family and friends that support my crafty craziness.

What are you thankful for this week?

Club Scrap Layout With Multiple Photos

I bought some scrapbooking kits from Club Scrap and had fun thinking outside the box with them. My family and I do a virtual marathon during the month of November. Each year, my nephew creates a new logo and I make my patterned paper choices based on it.

With that being said, these embellishments from Club Scrap worked out perfectly for this occasion.

I wanted to add blue so I did! The sneakers were cut with the Cricut. See how these two pages were created by watching the YouTube process video:

This annual virtual marathon is in its fifth year. We started it during Covid as a way to get together but separately to honor my nephew who passed during that time. We continue the tradition because we are building new memories without any extra travel. We create a challenge on the Map My Walk app so we can share photos, leave comments and track our walks. It's a great event that we all look forward to every year. If you have any questions, let me know.

I got 13 pictures on this spread!  Love that!
