Love That Mouse Layout

I spent some time in the Command Center working on scrapbooking layouts. I’m still in early 2019 but slowly catching up. Here’s a layout completed by joining the March Madness challenge on a Facebook group. She gave the instructions for this background:
Basically, you cut down a piece of patterned paper to 11x11 and then cut it into four strips of 2 3/4”. Two of those strips are cut down (no measuring) into three pieces and two are cut into four.

The white cardstock is 11.5x11.5. I should have gutted the black base cardstock because this page was really heavy by the time I added the photos and embellies.

The title and tag were cut from the Mickey & Friends Cricut Cartridge and the border and decorations on the tag, I created using scraps and Mickey head punch.

Disney pages are always so fun to work on!

TGIF; Thankful Friday #120

Happy Friday! This week I'm thankful for my allergy pills. UGH! The pollen is strong right now and it's brutal living in an agriculture town. The blossoms are so pretty but they can be hard to see with itchy, watery eyes.

Have a beautiful week and remember there is always something to be thankful for!

Leave a comment on what you are thankful for this week. I'd love to hear all about it!

Whatever!

Last week my granddaughter's school had themed dress up days everyday. One of the themes was "The 90's". My DIL asked if I could make a shirt for my granddaughter - of course!

The piece of HTV that I used was just a tad small so the pinky knuckle was cut off, but it still works and you know what?  If someone points it out, we have the perfect response...whatever!
And here's our grown girl posing with it on!
Such a 90's pose!

WOYWW #561

Good morning and Happy WOYWW!

Today on the Stamping Ground blog, we are sharing our work desks. Click on over to check out the other deskers and link your own.

Here’s my desk this morning:
Yeah, I don’t even know what happened! It started with a Disney page and then a sewing project and some coloring and then basically no room for anything else. Don’t worry, I’ll have it cleared off soon. LOL

Have a great week!

Bitten By The Bug; Anything But A Card

Join the newest challenge at Bitten By The Bug! The theme for this two week challenge is Anything But A Card.

I'm on an iron on obsession right now especially since I received the Mini Press for Christmas from my son & DIL.

Here's my project:

Pretty cool, right?

These shoes started off like this:

I used my Cricut to type out "Giants" and "San Francisco" using the Varsity font. I found the baseball image on Design Space then sliced it in half to apply to the tongue of each shoe. The SF logo was made into a svg by downloading the image and then uploading it into Design Space. (If you're not sure how to do this, there are plenty of YouTube videos that show you how.)

The Mini-Press makes projects like these so easy. Honestly, I don't think you can do this project without one. My slogan for the mini-press is...

"The Mini-Press, you don't realize you need one, until you need one."

Now it's your turn, click on over to BBTB and link up your Anything But A Card crafty project.

Creative With Stamps - March Challenge #48

March 1st and it's the final post for Creative With Stamps. They have decided to take a break from the blog and I hope that they come back soon.

I had lots of fun being on the Design Team since 2017.

For the final challenge, the theme is
Here is my card:

It’s a wobble card:

What I did:
I created the background by stamping a pattern with an Easter egg stamp. I used alcohol markers to color in the eggs, added shine with a clear glitter pen and made marks with white & black pen. The orange coloring between the eggs was done by swiping a water based orange marker on an acrylic block & using a water brush to spread the color.

I also used alcohol markers & glitter pen to color in the chick in the egg and chick image. I adhered a 3" vellum circle under the egg & chick image AND to add extra fun, used a wobble mechanism to it. So fun!

Be sure to click on over to the CWS site and check out the DT cards. I am always inspired by their creations. Be inspired and link your own card for a chance to win the final prize.

I want to say thanks to CWS for adding me to their Design Team and push me to be creative in ways I may not have without them. I also want to say thanks to all of you that linked your stamped cards. Everyone is so talented and it's been inspiring to check out all these cool blogs.

Love To Scrap Challenge Blog; March, 2020

The challenge at the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog (LTSCB) for March, 2020 is anything goes. I have to be honest, sometimes the "anything goes" challenge is harder for me.

For this month’s project, I decided to work in my Junk Journal.

Here’s the final page:

And some photos of the steps:
The page started like this since these journals are near my desk, whenever I have leftover paints, etc., I swipe it on a page in the journal. It helps to have something on the page before I start.

That circle stencil is a piece of paper that was left after cutting out multiple circles on my Cricut for another project. I don’t waste much around here!
Since the journal is not a smooth surface, I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment.

A close up and a photo of most of the supplies:

Isn’t this a fun page? I made six different Junk Journals awhile back and I still have not completed one. Click on the Junk Journal label to the right for more layouts and more information on how to start a Junk Journal.

Be sure to click on over to LTSCB and be inspired by the DT and to link up your own project with the Anything Goes theme.
