I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love working with sketches for an easy starting point. Sketch n Scrap posts two layout and two card sketches a month and they are fabulous!
This week, I'm showing off a layout I made using Sketch #245. This layout was pretty basic - I probably should have chosen different papers and embellishments but then I had a cool idea! I journaled on the entire background piece!
I didn't take a photo of the layout prior to writing, but if you watch the YouTube process video, you can see it there. I did take a screen shot, and you can tell it needed some excitement.
I decided on a pencil because I didn't want the journaling "in your face". More of a design element. I love how it turned out! The video also shows how I put together the title and finished the layout.
It is pretty easy and not a lot going on but it may be one of my favorite pages!
