Happy Wednesday and Happy WOYWW! I missed posting last week and realized it about halfway through Friday. LOL
I've had a pretty clean desk the last few weeks but it's back to it's usual style this week. I've been busy making a cake topper for my granddaughter's birthday, a shirt for my daughter's birthday, some kitchen towels for a DIL and a custom order card for a friend.
What I really need to do is work on my scrapbooks. I'm already a year behind. Here's my desk this morning:
The wood panel paper is used for the background when taking photos of my projects. I also use a light box that my son bought, but sometimes it’s easier to just grab this roll.
My daughter and I went to Hobby Lobby last weekend and I was disappointed in the amount of sales or lack of sales. I was really good and only bought sale/clearance items. With the exception of the scrapbook album I so desperately needed - but I did use the 40% off coupon for it.
They did have a great clearance on their Spring Items so I bought some towel blanks and a few things for my oldest granddaughter. You know the next week, all their Paper Studio line was 50% off. Was that good or bad...?

I think you were very restrained with your stash purchases! It must be good if they were all in the sale... ;-). What fabric have you used for your daughter's shirt? I'd be interested in seeing what you've done!

i think i have that wood-grain material protecting my work desk. Good idea to use it that way - i too have a light box but it is such a faff getting it out and set up. Well done on the sale . Have a good week. soojay#22

ReplyDeleteI went to my Hobby Lobby Monday and the lines were all the way down the aisles! I guess because they had the spring items marked down to 90% ~ But I didn't find any great bargains either and i just used a coupon as well ~ Enjoy the rest of your week
ReplyDeleteI can't imaging being only a year behind in my scrapbooking! One day I may catch up. Still have to do something with photos from my Canada trip in 2018 (oops). The wood paper is a good idea. I have a 12 x 12 paper pad that I open up, I find that works quite well for a background. Happy WOYWW, stay well, safe, Cindy #21

ReplyDeleteI gave up on scrapbooking about 8 years ago when it all became too much to try and keep up with. I have tried to do pocket pages instead this year, but am still finding that hard! ReplyDeleteYou have got a lot of projects going, Dorlene! I love the woodgrain paper to use as a background for photos. I have a lot of A3 sheets that I've used to clean off brushes on, (a bit like your blog background!) and I use these - I tend to keep them to individual colour schemes to avoid creating mud, and I can usually find one that co-ordinates nicely with the project in question. I've got some packs of 12 x 12 papers and might try using those, too - great idea!
