WOYWW #510

Happy Wednesday! I'm sharing my work area along with many others on the Stamping Ground linkage. Click over there to read more about it and to take a peek into other craft desks/areas.

The layout that I'm working on is a photo of our dog, Gracie. She hates it when I read! Every summer for the past 20 years, my daughter and I have a reading contest "Summer Reading Marathon". We read as many books as possible during the summer and whoever wins gets treated to ice cream at Baskin Robbins.

Gracie hates it when I read in the house and will bug me, scratch at the book, or whine while sitting next to me. It's hilarious! I always blame my daughter accusing them of being in cahoots with each other. LOL

I'm still messing around with paper and photo placement, but I'm almost done.

Don't forget to click on over to Stamping Ground and have a great week!

  1. Hi Dorlene. Dogs have it out for us!! I'd say your daughter and dog are in cahoots. Muffin, my little cutie pie, follows me around the house. She has a special bed in the craft room and she lays in while I'm playing.

    Happy WOYWW

  2. Oh how funny - it's definitely an attention thing. My cat is in cahoots with Gracie, he always comes on my lap when I'm on I'm trying to knit/crochet/read the ipad/books. He's a pain! But lovable.

  6. Hi Dorlene. What a great idea - the great book challenge. My younger daughter and I ought to do something like that - e are both voracious readers! I think you are probably right - your daughter has been teaching your dog bad habits quite deliberately and they have been conspiring together.
    Take care. God bless.

  7. Dogs are so funny aren't they. My male dog thinks he's a laptop dog. You can use him as a stand, then he will help with the typing by tapping the keys and when he's bored with that he uses it as a cushion Lol! Maybe he is trying to tell us something! Have a great woyww, Angela x15x

  9. That sounds like a great Summer Challenge! My cats also like to sit on my books while I'm reading, but they don't seem to do it as much with my Kindle! Lovely layout! Have a great week, Lindart #26

  11. I am scrap booking again lately and I LOVE the dotted paper you use on this layout! I, too, read a lot in Summer and not so much in winter... funny how your dog doesn't seem to like it when you read and what a great topic/memory to scrap! I wish you a wonderful, cosy and relaxing Sunday! Hug from Holland. Marit #19
