The possibilities are wide open for this challenge. We have so many reasons to celebrate but for this challenge I chose BIRTHDAY.
The image on my card is from Fun Stampers Journey. This mariachi stamp was a HAD to buy item. Being a Mexican-American, it is standard to have a mariachi at major celebrations. Most times, it's the music being played instead of the actual musicians, but that's ok too.
I colored him in using Lyra Aqua Brush markers and highlighted the white areas with a white Wink of Stella glitter pen and the trumpet was colored with a gold glitter pen (this one is from Stampin Up!). I matted the patterned papers in black cardstock and layered them on the bright yellow card base.
I also added the "stars" using a gold metallic inkpad and stamps from Close To My Heart.
