Color Me Beautiful Design Team

I'm going to be on another design team and I'm really, really excited!  Now I need to purchase some Stampin' Up cardstock in order to meet the color challenges.

The first challenge was to use:  Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade

Here's my first card using:  Basic Grey and Perfect Plum.  I didn't have the Lucky Limeade, but loved the purples with the bright green.  I used the closest I had to it for this first challenge.

I used the patterned Basic Gray paper for the background and it may be a little darker than I hoped.  I made this card in under 30 minutes.  I didn't think I'd have another opportunity to make another one before the 1st so I rushed through.  I'm going to take a breather and then give this challenge another stab.  I don't hate the card, but it looks like I rushed it.

Ok.  I didn't love the first card I made with the color challenge so I made a new one using mostly ink.  this is called the Tie Dye Technique.  First take a light ink (I used Pale Plum) and ink in a circular motion on a sheet of white cardstock.  Then do the same thing with a medium color ink (Perfect Plum) on top of the large light circle but just a little bit smaller.  Lastly add a small circle of dark color ink (Rich Razzleberry) Again all ink should be applied with a sponge and a circular motion.  Then take either a small paint brush with water or I used the self watering brush from Stampin' Up and lightly draw a circle where the colors meet.  So the area between the light/medium inks and the medium/dark inks.  This creates the tie dye look.  After that I used the itty bitty dots in silver ink to dirty up the remaining white cardstock.  Mat this with green and Perfect Plum cardstocks.  The "ribbon" is a strip of Basic Gray cardstock folded and adhered to the front.  Add two flat back pearls and a sentiment and viola!
